Tesla's network knows what stations are open or being used, so it'll tell you to skip ahead to the next one if you need to. No surprises.

    i cant argue their charging

i just hated the fit and trim of the tesla

in my case fit and finish would take my money over range and charge time

thats what the 6mt taco is for :fistbump:

There’s going to be a big difference in range between towing 7K and 11K. Even if it was 150 miles, which it isn’t, it’s still pretty useless.

Plaid with the refreshed interior is markedly better than the previous interior, understood it’s still not on par with Porsche or Mercedes.

TFL pulled a little 2K tear drop trailer and only went 150 miles.

More useless than a Tacoma that can tow 11k lbs all of 100 feet?

Whats long distance and what is regular basis? i know when you need it to do something you typically dont want to hope a truck is available at a local rental place.

i come from a construction and farming background. most of these guys do need to make sure they can tow high payloads long distances.

    LOL @ this thread.

Personally I’d take a Rivian in a heartbeat!

Email them. Maybe they’ll send you their unedited footage. The rest of the world isn’t going to watch a video of them towing a trailer for hours. Check out their Ike test. They had to recharge the Rivian before they even got to the toughest climb.
You can argue all you want but an EV is not suitable for towing…yet… They are great for commuting and general driving but the battery range while towing doesn’t exist yet.

edited to add long distance at >150 miles. I initially stated "towing with range, is something the majority of the population and truck owners don't do." driving some tools 20 miles to the local jobsite is not long distance towing under near max payload that the majority of people don't do even working in construction. I've worked doing electrical work, we had vans and people drove personal trucks to the job site not towing shit lmao. Drive down any interstate in the US and look at the number of trucks you see not being utilized for work, hell most people on this forum build the #1 selling midsize truck in the US as overlanding / off-roading rigs, not some long distance tow machine, because it isn't one, It's a weekend warrior truck.

Yes both are useless. Anyone towing a heavy trailer is going get a real truck in the 250, 2500 series. It’s silly to think otherwise.

I agree, but ~150 miles isn't totally useless. I don't think anyone would buy the R1T that is planning to tow heavy loads regularly.
