I cut about that much off the bottom.

Sides by the ears about half inch or more, but brushing it outwards a bit more than that gets trimmed.

It was touching my clavicle almost; now it's just above my adams apple.

But really 2 weeks; it's just sometimes I end up trimming after a week versus waiting a full 2.

The quicker it grows, the more the LC leaks.

Or maybe it grows faster because it leaks

What's funny is when I was talking about the welding industry with my instructor, he told me some places would ask that I cut most it off.

Reason being, so that if I had to wear a mask (for clean air reasons) I wouldn't get a good seal having a beard.

Makes sense cause that 3M face mask I've got is always grabbing and snagging my beard due to it's rubber seal.

Fuck me...I've had white hairs for a minute.

Must've stemmed from my Tacoma ATF leaking at the transmission pan, later to the 4R's gear oil, and now :bananadead:

Yup, pretty common. I still remember the day my dad shaved his beard because he had to take a trip to prudhoe bay for work. Even for a short trip it was required to have a proper fitting mask.

You've also got a couple of Chevy's working against you. Surprised you don't look like gandalf, actually.

On the flip side, I remember my dad wanted to grow out his beard (part of a mid life crisis after him and my mom separated), because he worked at the exec corporate level he was allowed to have a beard, but it had to be a "legit" clean looking beard, aka you can't come in looking unshaved. So he had to actually take time off work to grow out a legit beard haha.

    The Vette's never leaked!

Neither did the F-Bodies...though I did have a thermostat stick at the worst possible time. Was my WS6 when I was at a drive-thru.

That and another WS6 shut off during a sharp right turn. That one was because the ignition basically cut off at the steering column. It's common that people, namely overweight people, would use the steering wheel as support to lift themselves up and out of the car.

Easy fix but I was younger and it was pretty quick to undo everything. If I did a steering column now on an F-Body, or any car, I'd break my back.

man have times changed. I can walk around the office with an untucked shirt, blue jeans and sneakers and nobody bats an eye. Nevermind some of the awful beards we've got running around.

Yeah same here. I mean I'm not some high level executive or anything but I do work in a corporate environment, no dress code or facial hair code. At least none that I've been told about.

I see some bad ones out there, seriously.

Then I see one really good one, and it's like...you give a nod of acknowledgement

My wife is surprised because we've been in public plenty of times where a random dude would compliment me on mine. She never knew that was a thing.
