    The first time I saw this project I immediately thought of the coffee tables that have been in my family for 45+ years. I wasn't going to say anything, but maybe you'll get a kick out of it. What's old is new again I guess. I like it. :)

    muriatic acid eats cementitious material , thats what we use to clean stonework and joints or exposed aggregate , 1 to 10 acid to water ratio , read about application before you try it , it needs to be mixed and applied properly and proper precautions taken because it can eat a bunch of unintended stuff too if you get it on there and its not neutralized

    I'm trying to smooth it out. There's some wire brush marks where the contractor put the grinder down while the brush is spinning. Some trowel marks. I do want some texture so it won't be slippery.

    The guy let me know our original quote is good and it will not be higher. $7,000 for vinyl, columns, and encasing 14 windows and both gable end vents. We will have very little to paint after this.
    Also the front porch ceiling.

    those stones will take high spots and ridges off green concrete but they can leave a pretty ugly scratchy surface
