Ain't no fix for this lmao. 4 hr trip took 6 or 7 thanks to this guy but we made it and I am being given a gift by mother nature, beautiful star filled sky with multiple shooting stars. Made some wishes for the bad luck streak to end lol

Good news is I get to keep it.

I was thinking making it into my shift knob. If I had a manual it would be a shift light for sure.

    upload_2022-7-30_7-46-49.jpg

The funny part is this came inside the same box as 3 other things I ordered, in place of the add a fuse. So it came directly from Amazon inside that order.

.....I cannot find it for sale on Amazon.

I don't know enough about anal protectants but I assumed this would supress farts. Then you take it out and it's like purging an air compressor all at once.

For those of you that buy trailer tires anything to look out for. I had to buy this one in a pinch so it's no name brand I've heard but at least it's 8 ply. Just wanted the insurance of having a spare for the trip home but I'll be buying tires to replace all of them and don't know if I should just buy the other 4 the same or buy 5 like Goodyear endurance or something

yeah if theres a decent amount of vendors i will probably go to just get hands on with stuff instead of just trying to apply peoples reviews to what i want out of something.

feels like these things unless its expo west is just like 2-3 vendors with like one thing out.

Also looking for this answer. Just got a tilt trailer to use for my Kubota and want to replace the two tires (one has damage) and saw Kenda and Loadstar seem popular for trailer tires

There are a lot of trailer tires referred to as ‘China bombs’ and they give out just like your did, they just explode and can do considerable damage to a camper when they shred. I run a camper TPMS that monitors temperature as well so I can tell if ones getting hot. That’s my ‘cheap insurance’ for longer distance trips. If you see a tire heating up more than the others, it can be an indicator it’s going to blow out on you. The answer to your initial question is a lot more gray. Some of the no name brands are just fine, sometimes the better known brands like Carlisle blow out like the China bombs. I’m debating swapping my trailers tires to Goodyear Endurance tires before my trip to FL, but they still have good tread and are all holding consistent pressures and temp at highway speed so I’m likely going to keep what I have.

Mine are Trailer King load range D tires. I’ve heard good things about West Lake also and Carlisle.

Brakes have always terrified me but the Jeep was squealing bad and I was determined to not spend shop prices.

I had the rears done locally so I just matched the same brand pads and took a crack at it with my buddy overseeing. Got a good excuse to buy more oddball sized tools. Raybestos probably wouldn’t be my first choice for pad but they’re fine for a street car.

No more squealing and I didn’t die on the test drive. Win!

Any of you guys been thinking about buying a utility trailer?

I've been considering selling mine and buying a small cheap car hauler. I'm finding not having sides would work better for a lot of what I do.

It's a Pequea 8012s (6'x12') but the last owner registered as homemade and I did the same. MA assigned a VIN to it under the previous owner and I stamped it into the frame. I rewired it, installed all new LED lights, a new front-wind jack, and a new Dexter Axle with brakes and a breakaway switch/battery wired in. It also has a spare tire and Dee Zee tongue box and is much heavier duty than the Home Depot/Tractor Supply trailers.

I haven't officially listed it for sale or anything - I was hoping to see $2k out of it if I did since I think having a brand new axle with brakes is a nice selling point that you don't usually see on trailers of this size, but I honestly haven't looked around much to see if that's realistic. If someone here is in the market, that'd motivate me to let it go. Dealing with complete strangers isn't something I look forward to otherwise.

I have Trailer King on my boat trailer and they have been fine so far. Pretty much all trailer tires are made in China and have similar reviews of horrible to great. I think the key is keeping the tires inflated to what it says on the tire. Either 50 or 65 psi depending on size and plys.

^this is very important. The temp sensors are hopefully just an early warning system, but it’s not a flawless setup.

The rupture may or may not have been triggered by a rumble patch I drove through that I could have avoided. But I'm at five years anyhow with the original tires, zero cracking and perfect tread wear. I guess I'll give the trailer kings a go and just swap all of them to that

Only other guess (and I presume you looked before but just a thought), perhaps some rot in between the treads. Went through that with the Rav4, looked fine on the sidewalls but all 4 originals had rot in the tread. Fortunately we found it before buying and told them they need to throw new tires on.
