How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

One more question...since it's waiting for the truck to the dealership, does that mean soon? was there an ETA? Sorry for the questions, my response from my salesman was....with the way things are who knows and I'm carless right now and have been waiting for almost 9 months. Also, can you send me the link to that beer thing? Because you've been way more help than I could've asked for and I truly appreciate it

 

Well that’s just great….. Mine was built in May or early June. Not only are the containers bottled up at Long Beach, CA because of protests and congestion , but now I have to worry about this and possibly wait for my truck even longer

Well, I got an email today from my former sales guy that the 06/04 production limited I had been waiting on reserve for months finally is listed as processing for transit to Long Beach.
However, the one I had already switched to has been there for the past 2 weeks so I feel like even if I did switch back the new one is going to arrive first.

May as well stick with my guns and stay with my new selection.

 

That's pretty damn close to the truck I was originally wanting except I was okay with an AT over MT.

This is great to hear from both you guys. I’m waiting on an allocated Army Green Off-Road and still haven’t see AG in person. I originally had a deposit on a Barcelona Red long-bed but it’s been mysteriously stuck at the port for months now, and my dealership has no info or ETA so they offered to put a second truck on hold for me. They have an Army Green short-bed on the way that has exactly the build and options I want, so I guess Army Green it is! Weird to not have seen the color in person, but trusting that it’ll look good. Feel like most Tacoma colors have looked even better in person. Nice to hear at least others have seen it in real life, I’ve been scanning the roads and parking lots for weeks to no avail Lol

It's like grilling steaks if ya like good meat. Several to choose from, each is just a bit different, but in the end you can live with most of the choices 'cause ya just like a good steak. I feel that way about my inbound Nightshade. I would have been happy with a Black, an MGM, an AG or Red... just not White. But, I HAD to have a Limited. I've been waiting since I put $ down in January and it'll be here in another 10 days according to my dealer. It's going to be worth the wait, I'm sure. I'm sure which ever one you end up with you're going to love it because it's a Top Trim Toyota Tacoma. What's not to like!? All the best.

 

Im pretty excited cuz ROD03 said my army green trail was on rail from san diego to east brookfield, i wonder if by end of next week it could be delivered.....im hoping for an early delivery. I will share timeline of start to finish once i get it and pics. I wish it was here now but at least it is moving. I hope this kind of buying experience is not the norm from now on, what a crapshow. Yes I did and thankfully it wasn’t part of the recall. I didn’t know there was a link to check it. But it has to do with improper welds for car seats.

 

I just confirmed with my dealer and he said Toyota tells dealers what they are going to get and then the dealer matches orders to the allocation. So apparently Toyota doesn’t even try to see what orders dealers have and make allocations based on waiting requests. It’s just a crap shoot. My refundable deposit just puts me 1st in line if the right truck hits their allocation. He said my access cab in the config and color I want will be a LONG time (if ever).

Has anyone here used the ‘bed extender’ accessory? I could consider changing from the 6ft bed access cab to the 5th bed double-cab, if I felt confident that accessory worked great. I’d have a better shot of getting one. I can’t do the 6ft bed double cab because of garage space.
