I really hope I don`t last that long!

As I can take nothing for the pain I really dread the next level.

Mom hated the fact I was nocturnal !

I have always slept better when the Sun was up . If I have no fixed schedule no need to be any place in a few weeks I will be sleeping from around 0500 to 1200.

This was always the case it took no time after getting up at 0300 for the last 15 years.

X2. I literally thought I was invincible when I was young. I could shake of injuries and I have a pretty good tolerance for pain. Today, at 56, my knees sound like thy have sand in them, My right rotator cuff is screwed up, I have a thumb I have dislocated several times that is giving me recurring problems, and my hands ache at times, especially when it’s cold or it rains.
I raced motocross and desert for a long time, ski, surf, and inevitably, you crash or get tossed. I have been told before there would be some pain when I got older. I’ve always disregarded that idea and thought I could simply will it away. Not me, no F’in way doc. As it turns out, you can’t, but you can remain active, not get fat, and exercise. Plus, there’s Advil.

Your lucky if any over the counter products work.

For what ever reason my stomach just can not handle more then two doses then it hurts worse then the pain I am trying to reduce.

Up all night, sleep all day! As the song goes.
I need a lot more sleep now. I could go on very little sleep, and did it a lot when I was in college, and just shake it off. Now, it really wipes me out. I manage my sleep because I know if I don’t, I end up staying up later and later. I start work somewhat early (6:15), so I am up by 5:00. I go to bed by 10:00. If I feel I’m dragging a little I’ll go to bed at 9:00. I sleep soundly though. I don’t worry about work nonsense, or other people’s problems. I usually wake up to pee once, I take the dogs out, check the house, and go back to sleep. Periodically, I run an intruder drill. I feel lucky to not be dealing with anxiety or PTSD. I know some people who are and it really grinds you down.

Usually three Advil will quiet things down for me. Excedrin and some others can be hard on your stomach. My FIL ended up with ulcers from long term Excedrin use for migraines. None of it is good for your organs over the long run though. I’ve considered trying CBD. Initially, I rejected all the CBD stuff, but I hear it has helped a lot of people. I would like to know more about the long term effects of its use though. Nothing is all rainbows and unicorns.
I feel lucky I’m only dealing with relatively minor stuff. My BIL played football in HS and college and is pretty beaten up from it.

I tried the CBD for a month it did nothing at all for me.

I bought it from a local company that was my go to for supplements .

First, parents would ask if the bike was ok,
then, parents would put a Band-Aid on the cut. Then tell us to get back outside and if your going to cry, I'll give you something to cry about.

We learned how to take a fall and protect your head.

Growing up only 1 ER visit for a bike crash broken collar bone when I was 12 .

Mom was great with sewing up the worst of the wounds.

In those days living in the country you needed to at least get the bleeding stopped then maybe get driven to the ER

Ambulances were for people in the Big Towns.

I wore a helmet, full face model when doing BMX racing. It was required to race, probably a wise idea regardless.

After that, only on my ramp. Part of the deal was my parents bought the lumber, my dad and I built it, and I had to wear my helmet to use it.

I think today that might be a social worker with a cop talking to Dad. Or, it would be Mom, because there isn’t a dad and... I think I’ll stop now so I don’t get banned.
