Just realized the featherweight battery I had lying around will work on the CRF. It calls for a 490-2501. This one is 490-2531. Same size, just 30cca more :D Still sitting at a full charge.

@fatfurious2 - Another HBD your way! I tried to get to Sleepy Creek this morning. I ended up taking a few roads I'd never seen before (had a vague idea of where I was... kinda) and then stopped to take a pic of a fawn bedded down right off the road. When I went to start the bike, I got nothing more than a buzzing noise. Fortunately, I was at the bottom of a "not too steep" hill and was able to bump start it. :D

Yeah, I'm guessing it's the starter but  where to "start"...

Might be up for that! My wife had a cousin pass away earlier this week and the funeral might be that weekend... not sure yet.

I'll tell ya, this has turned out to be a very un-relaxing summer... I'm almost looking forward to getting back to "real" work!

Adventure Spec bags are on! Pretty happy with them, I think they'll be good. Magadan panniers with a first aid pouch, two large pouches, a bottle pouch, and a "stash" pouch molle'd on.

I'm also (assuming the weather holds) riding the bike to the west side of the state next weekend (about 6hrs each way) for my grandma's 90th birthday party and decided to buy a new 17 tooth front sprocket to lower my highway rpms just a tad. My old sprocket was buggered AF. It's got a real nice wave going on, wild. I haven't worn one out that badly before.

At leaaaaast 17 adventure points now. I still have to add that fog light, too.

After I fitted the bags I was antsy and wanted to lube the front wheel bearings and check fasteners and stuff up there.. well that then turned into me doing a quick fork service and swapping a spring out for my soft-y setup for next weekend. Plushhhh.

Ran to safeway for hamburger buns and beer. I was tempted to buy a 30 rack and try to shove that in a side bag but figured I should start with a 12 pack instead. I can say that these bags need to be pretty balanced for them to be the most stable.

Still convinced they can fit at least a 30 rack, maybe even two 24 racks.

    Back in Black! :D

    IMG_2220.jpg

So, in the 50 miles I've owned it :)rofl:):

Likes: that naked look, the seat is so comfy, the PUUUUUULLLL, the Yosh pipe sounds a-real nice, the bar end mirrors (cramp my hands a little) work very well, the brakes, suspension seems decent, and last, but not least, the PUUUUUULLLL!

Dislikes: have to buy tires immediately as the ones on there were manufactured in... 2012, the steering gets a little light above 85-90, the brake light only works with the rear brake (!), and not a fan of solid black but can live with it... for now.

Anyway, so happy to finally have a keeper after looking for 3 months!

Tokyo Golden Monkey from Mecum Harrisburg auction yesterday.

Brand new, zero miles from 1986 this was only sold in Tokyo. Imported to the US through UK by David Silver a well-known Honda collector. Sold for $9000.

Honda Magna 50 also a JDM only bike. I think it went for $4500

This one had some miles on and could use some TLC to make it really nice.

That monkey didn’t go for much more than a clapped out one on Craigslist.

just a couple of things tbh
We’ll she is gone folks I got the auto adjuster fixed and a few other things fixed and went out for a ride and the bike was running good then a it started running bad and would stall at lights so we were almost back to my buddy’s place when it had a small pop then it was dead… the starter spins but nothing else…
