    I'm new to this stuff....
My 08 has a spacer on top of the front coil spring. This spacer measures 1-1/2" tall. The blocks on the rear leafs are tapered; thinner end is approximately 1-3/4" and the thicker end is 2". I assume the average measurement is how they are identified, but not sure.
My question is.....what sizes are these lifting 'blocks'? 1-1/2 in front and 1-7/8 rear?
    Thanks!

Typically, spacers add 2x the thickness on the FRONT. 1.50 = 3”
On the rear that is NOT the case, it is what ever the measurement is.
The taper is there to pivot the differential/pinion to help with vibrations and driveshaft angles.

Thanks, I aprecate the info! I have no idea when people admire the lift and ask how high it is. So the rear sounds like 2" to you?

Please take a picture of the leaf springs. More than likely there's an AAL that's been added, thus the reason for the pinon shims.

Yeah, some where around 2” sounds right.
Depending on the condition of your leaf springs, you might have a small rake (higher in the rear)
Or your truck is close to level.

I forget what OE is, I think the rear is 2” higher or so?

It’s possible. The better lift blocks include the shim.
Technically, it’s just built into the block. Like OP said, the blocks are tapered.

Then you have make sure you put the blocks in the right direction.

Measures 2" high at the rear and 1-3/4" at the front. I can only assume this would be identified as a 2" block? I just was not sure which measurement determined the block size (is it a 1-3/4 or a 2 inch)?

It's a tapered 2", most 2+ are tapered for driveline angles.

    1" are rarely tapered.

For the sake of casual discussion, you have a 3" lift in the front and 2" in the back.
