Can anybody tell me if the carrier/support bearing is difficult to replace? Gonna check my left side wheel bearing as well , but I don’t thing that’s what making humming type sound I’ve been hearing. Feeling a little vibration under my feet too. Wheel bearings don’t look too difficult to replace either

I had a little vibration. After replacing wheel bearing, carrier bearings, it turned out to be my Needle Bearing in the T-case.

Does the vibration go away when you kick it into 4wheel hi? That’s a good indication it may be the needle bearing.

 

Rear wheel bearing. I had one of those make an annoying humming on my old 2009 Tacoma. Drivers rear was shot due to a leaking oil seal from the plugged diff vent...
