I think I lost braincells reading this. Are you asking for facts? Because I've provided and cited them more than the literally zero times you have in this thread.

Rivian does some cool bar tricks. I take trips and tow stuff so I'll stick to the Tacoma for now.

I bet there's a dedicated EV forum out there somewhere on the interwebs for an electric truck circle jerk.

    *raising hand & clearing throat*

you sound hangry…need a snickers? lol!

I like EVs….but I tow 150 miles once or twice a week. No chargers at the trailheads to top the battery off for the trek back home. Maybe one day there will be.

Do like the Rivians, especially the toned down look of them. However would take 10 or so years to pay for itself over a Tacoma…that and feels like one of those companies that could go belly up at any moment. I’ll wait for Toyota to do it. PHEV Tacoma would be ideal for my lifestyle.

Easy fix, don’t have kids. And really all these environmental problems are caused by humans, having more just makes it worse. :D No need to buy an EV to save the planet, not having offspring is much better.

Some people just don't like the idea of an electric car or truck, does that piss all of you off that think we'll be driving all electric vehicles by 2030? I personally don't think the electrical system can do it, charge all those vehicles up, not by 2030....

I think very, very few people think that everyone will be driving EVs in just seven years time. While some states may restrict the sale of new ICE vehicles they are unlikely to restrict the secondary market resales for many, many years. There will be time for the electric grid infrastructure to be upgraded appropriately before the entire nation is driving in EVs.

If someone says to me "I like my car to go vroom vroom and I like popping the hood and fucking around so an EV isn't for me" I give them a high five and tell'em to send it because why the fuck do I care?

If people post bullshit made up post-facto justifications because they're too childish to admit they like vroom vroom and new thing scary then I don't have any issues calling'em on it.

That's a big reason I don't have a Tacoma anymore. My '21 got 17.5mpg on 33" tires. I now get 4mpg less but on 35" tires but have almost three times the horsepower and torque in exchange and an engine that doesn't sound like a sewing machine.

The latest TFL Northern Lightning video is pretty good. They had to charge the Lightning with the F150 Hybrid. They also found out that driving at 33 mph is what gets the best range. It doesn’t seem too fun for a vacation but it makes for good TV. :)

I don’t know why either…usually it’s the redneck types that loose their bowel control over it. Ummmm aren’t most power tools cordless these days? Have no issue with those. Not sure why they think EVs are some tree hugger conspiracy. Maybe DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita need to get into the vehicle market…

Yup. The gas mileage for a mid size truck is pathetic. I’m also not a fan of the rusting frames. I have a Tacoma and a 4Runner and their frames are rotting away as a type this.

I agree except those extra 4 weeks are spent waiting around in a parking lot.

I saw an R1T this morning. I don't know what all the fuss is about. You could just as easily drive a Tundra TRD Pro, or F-150 Tremor down the road at 35 mph. While looking more cool doing it.

The Rivian, is more appealing than a Tesla, but over an ICV pick up. I don't think so.

Good thing I ride bikes too, give me something to do while I wait. :)

Never having to stop at a gas station for the work commute would be one thing. Though if you could afford a Rivian doubt that you have to commute. Do the Tundra Pro and Raptor guys look cool, or is it just another douche-mobile?

I am sure people in Priuses say the same thing about jacked up Bro-Dozers. Why commute in that filth belching behemoth when all they need is a small hybrid…then the “one less car” bicycle commuter says the same thing about them all.

I don’t think the ICV comes in a pickup configuration.
