I just went down and compared the Winchester to the Federal Power Shock. The PS is slightly better as far as numbers go and I know they expand extremely well but I’d like to try these. If they are as accurate out of these 2 rifles as the PS are then it’s a winning situation. Ballistics did confirm what I thought though I need to rezero for 200 yards instead of 100. 200 wasn’t available when I zeroed it though

Picked up a PSAK104 on Saturday, the custom plum colored with JL billet fore-end and TWS style dustcover, both in plum. When I opened the box in the shop, the other customers were just stunned, there was a hush in the crowd, lol. it looks gorgeous. Gonna have to modify the mag release a bit because barely any of my mags will fit, it's pretty tight.
Also got a MRO green dot and QD mount for it.

    at work, use your imagination:thumbsup:

Seriously though, the AK104s come in a bunch of different color options with the JL Billet long mlok handguards and railed dustcovers. I almost got the robin's egg blue as it was so striking. But I definitely cannot pull that off, lol. The burnt bronze is cool, and the white as well.

I have a 7.62x39 mag in plum coming from PSA as well. This'll be my 7.62 comp rifle at the Kempner Texas Kalashnikov shoots every month. I usually use a PSAK74 or my PSAK105. Just makes sense to use a domestic instead of something valuable like my Veprs or Saiga.

Definitely learning this. The quality on AKs seem solidified with the amount your spending (as with most things). Pay a bit more and receive a better gun. But each have some different characteristics. Quite interesting and a headache at the same time deciding on which one to choose! Not a bad problem to have.

Update. Got a 40 round mag because 30 isn't enough. now I need to find some 556 for less than .50c per round so I don't go further into bankruptcy

It's been pretty rough around here. Usually .54 cpr is the lowest but people quote internet prices all the time and by the time shipping, tax and transfer is said and done, it's usually the same price as buying bulk local. It was around .44 cpr for Taiwan made Wolf..
