I can’t remember if it’s “you can’t touch the line” or “you can’t go over the line” I know in the circle you can touch it but not go over. If I can slightly touch it I’m golden!!!

I'm sure you already know but keeping slight pressure on the rear brake adds another level of control and keeping your head up and looking farther in the turn instead of in front of you helps keep your balance.

Watch how these guys look through the corner to the next mark and turn the bike that way. Works in the test, in parking lots, in the twisties and on the track.

Yah I’ve been riding the rear but the mini moto (scooter) I’m on makes it tough because the foot brake controls both the front and rear. It’s more biased to the rear but once I found the sweet spot it’s super easy for the circular turn

Nice man! If you ever are in Sf, I can meet you and show you a few tricks to handling a bike at slow speeds. Good luck!

I can also prob get you around most ANY “closed” areas and into any DMV. I prefer Daly City or anyone except fell street. Always willing to help a fellow motorcyclist!

Thanks man! Thankfully the Pittsburg DMV course is open since it shares a shopping center with other stores that need rear access!

Not to discount the importance of being able to pass the DMV riding test for your M1, but if you take the MCSF course it negates the need to take the DMV riding test entirely. Also might get you a discount on your motorcycle insurance (it did for me), and passing the MCSF course used to come with a decent one-time discount at Cycle Gear too.

The MSF course is definitely on my list of things to do eventually not for the ability to waive the DMV riding test but to continue learning! GEICO was the only insurance company that had decent rates for me so I ended up going with them. Progressive and others wanted more than double what I pay for my 2 cars on my normal insurance!

Which is why you want to take the class. That will probably drop if you pass the class.

The class is valuable so that you don’t learn bad habits to begin with and so you learn at slow speeds and on some else’s bike. If you wait, you’ll more than likely have to unlearn these bad habits.

Besides. Your rates are so high because you have zero experience and most insurance companies put you at a higher risk for an accident.

If you keep your M1 valid and dont crash your rates will go down dramatically after 10 years. I think I pay around $125/year for my Honda.

For peeps who run raceline beadlocks did you use spacers behind the ring? I just ordered them because I had a slight angle when torquing the ring. 26E7EFC9-8F36-412A-ABF1-BB6DB106C3C4.jpg

Recorded an accident today on i-680S and didn't think to pull over and give the guy my info so he could use it for insurance purposes. Swung back a little later but didnt see anyone there except the empty Jeep. Little bit of a stretch posting this on here but since its a Tacoma figured I might as well try just in case the person who was hit browses on here and needs the video. https://youtu.be/dqjvKXVNPwM

You could call the CHP and let them know you have video that clearly shows the accident.

The double white lines are also supposed to be the same a double yellow and you are not supposed to cross them.

I'm sure the Taco owner would appreciate that...I feel like the insurance companies might rule that 50/50 at fault based on damage (and im sure there's not much of a police report, if any) without some evidence to prove otherwise?

The double white lines separate traffic traveling the same direction and are the same as double yellow lines. They are illegal to cross. So unlikely it would be 50/50. You can also see how the HOV vehicle crosses without even looking (failure to yield). Might even argue excessive speed. So yeah, I bet even the CHP would like to see that.

I was just thinking based on visible damage, he said she said...without evidence I could see the opposing insurance company saying the Taco merged into the Jeep. I was in something similar a long time ago, my adjuster told me if it wasn't for witnesses stepping forward they would have ruled 50/50. Just playing devils advocate...unless the jeep was actually honest and admitted fault, but people are trash so I doubt that!

Ya I'll give the local office a call tomorrow when they open up and talk to them. Definitely distracted or drunk to swerve over that far and hit someone like that without braking. Also surprising to come back 30 min later and see no one there with just the Jeep abandoned withought being towed.
