2006 Toyota Tacoma brake light issue

my wife was following me the other day and noted that my brake lights were out - they passed last inspection but its been awhile so I replaced them but no luck
the third light is also out so I'm thinking maybe fuse but I notice that ABS is on the same fuse so wouldn't it throw me a code if this fuse was blown? thanks

and no shift lock concerns as my Tacoma is stick, also that T3d plug pictured above looked good

 

Have you tested your brake light switch?
I'm not at my PC to look up diagrams but maybe @TnShooter can post it if he's around.

should both sets of pins on the brake switch have continuity? the larger ear pair appear to but not the small set / and that tested with the switch button not depressed
