What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Swapped out the clear/chrome Off Road tails for the all-red SR/SR5 tails, installed a set of OE mudflaps , black badge overlays, and Tacos4Cheap glovebox letter inserts.

 

Fitment of the covercraft is terrible. I ordered one in white and sent it back immediately because its 3.5" lower in the center than the Husky. CC is also thinner. Husky does not have it on their page anymore, but the next best option would be this off

Covercraft (top) vs Husky (bottom):

I didn't want to say anything bad because this was a gift.. but this fitment is atrocious. I could drive with the CC installed. I emailed their QC department to ask them why it was so terrible. They wouldn't fix it so I sent it back.

 

Husky is on Amazon. But it’s good you have experience with both. Guess I’ll order the husky

Yupp. I've had WeatherTech as well but I don't like how they are 50000 degrees when you have to roll them back up. I like the accordion style.

 

If you get real lucky and manage to find one, the Meso panels are wicked.





If you want to make it easy, go with an Aux beam.



...My personal recommendation for an array like that? Casio keyboard.

 

Not a 4 switch panel, but I like using my switch pros

sp9100. It has 8 switches leaving you room to add some more auxileries in the future.

 

Does anyone know what this roughage is or if it is some sort of protective coatings on the bottom 1/6th of the body panels under the paint on our Tacomas?

 

Intentional orange peel. It's simply an over-thickening of the paint to prevent it from chipping.

 

Meant to be like that. More resistant to getting hammered by road trash and debris

 

The 285/70R17’s run great with no issues or rub at all. I’m not sure if a 285/75R17 would run the same but I have a lot of room so it might.

They have the same width but the overall height is different.
The 70 is roughly a 33”
The 75 is roughly a 34”

Sorry I meant as far as fitment. Seems more people go towards the 33” but it can’t make that big of a difference vs the offset of the wheel

 

I had mine painted with rock guard for additional protection.

 

Switched from the too loud R4T high clearance exhaust to the Magnaflow exhaust.

 

Installed Westin HDX steps. Note when buying. Don't read the directions because they are not correct. TW member sent me install video that clears up any confusion and you'll have them on within an hour. Got rid of dealer special nerf steps and went this the westin hdx while they had a $50 rebate.

 

After 45 days in the body shop I finally got her back!

But the only weird thing is my front anytime camera is now flipped 180 degrees? The camera is mounted properly. Has anyone ever seen this with their anytime camera mod?

 

I currently have the camper on the truck. Does anybody feel like measuring those two holes on the front bed rail?
