Yeah it's so weird that these fires keep starting out here... I wonder why that keeps happening? So strange.

Still looking for around 15 volunteers this coming Saturday to haul kids and their gear from a remote lake in the Sierras to Graeagle. Not a hard trail, pretty slow going because the kids are physically handicapped. A few of us are going up Friday night to camp at Snag Lake. Pm me if interested and I'll get you in touch with the transportation coordinator.

Also, awesome photo quality. Any editing done on that or just a proper camera with a nice lens and some knowledge for the settings?

Just the camera and the lens! My buddy is a camera nerd. That looks wicked in the snow, love it.

    Here’s another from the trip.

This is what you want for a grass/brush fire instead of a second ABC dry chem extinguisher. These hold 5 gallons of water on your back and are hand pumped.

    https://www.baselineequipment.com/indian-fire-pump-90g-galvanized-steel-5-gallon

or get a 2.5 gallon water extinguisher.
Amerex 240, 2.5 Gallon Water Class A Fire Extinguisher

Add a squirt of dish soap to either after filling with water and you have a great set up along with a shovel.

What does the dish soap do? I usually have a 4 gallon Waterport in the truck but I use it for other stuff and don’t want to add dish soap to it.

Helps it penetrate/soak into burning material snd not bead up and run off. Called a “wetting agent” in the fire world.

Makes sense. Same thing used for a lot of yard herbicides. I might look into finding one of those 2.5 gallon cans if for nothing other than not having to use my Waterport water to put out campfires.

3 gallon garden sprayers also work pretty well for stuff like camp fires.

That’s a good idea. Something like that I wouldn’t care if I refilled from a scummy lake or creek either.

I had one for a while that I bought at Home Depot. After it broke I got a replacement and it was pretty poor quality. I guess the HD store brand has gone down hill.

    Yep. Sad.

That Indian pump I liked above though is still built like a brick shithouse. Galvanized steel or stainless as options.

Was weird having tropical weather today. Not just the late afternoon/evening post thunderstorm humidity/cloud cover.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Got no T-storms near me, just a little smoke from the fire down in the south part of town. Watched the SEATs and the lead plane aka Flying Circus doing their thing while I consumed various lagers.

That one was a Canon eos R 100mm L lens. This one is a D3100, not sure what lens. I rarely take truck pics in cool places, too busy having fun. My pics are like all installs haha. But this time I was with a couple guys with real cameras.
