Yes he does. Carrots are his treat and he will eat a garden salad….without dressing. He’s picky like that.

This is my first GS. Do they always shed like this? I even groomed him before his shower today…and again after. So. Much. Hair.

We have had 3 GSD and they all shed 24/7 365 no matter what.

But I love those dogs so much!

Most dogs shed at an amateur level.

    GSDs have gone pro.

Only thing I've found that's worse is an Akita - Roughneck would shed for 3 weeks straight. I could brush him for 8 hours a day and he still had more hair.

We had a Siberian Husky that shed just as bad as the GSD, but wow, what a gorgeous dog she was and a great personality.

I've never met a more stubborn yet smart dog. Like a Shiba on steroids. Real problem solvers, and more personality than fur.

Rough would play with tarantulas (we lived in Arizona at the time) by stomping his feet near them to get them to move, then laugh at them as they walked. He'd look at us like "are you seeing this shit?!?" and go back to watching the spiders walk. But he never messed with them otherwise. Hilarious.

He got hold of a hallucinagenic toad one night - we found him tripping balls. He never messed with them after that.

^ my Ridgeback / Mastiff mix is124 lbs. of friendship. Loves to hike, trained not to bark (he nudges me if something requires attention), good with kids and other dogs.
Plus he leaves me one cushion out of 3 on the sofa

Kimo on the left and Buck on the right. Buck is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and 2 years old.

I took Kimo to meet up at the dog park with @cuteasbuck_ . I swear, it was like the two of them have been seeing each other on the side or something. Like brothers from another mother. Like friends for ever. Normally, lots of butt sniffing and maybe a little humping to start things off. Today, all kissy face and throw my ball! That they got along great was pretty awesome.

Had a few minutes before the lunch crowd showed up. The two of them chased the ball and hung out with the other dogs. Stuck around for about an hour and a half. Good times. LinkedIn "meetup" kinda thing except others "wanted to make it" but sadly, none did.

Yep... the famous schnauzer head tilt. I've had around 5 mini schnauzers over the years... the last 2 were males (they bark less lol.) Here's my last one Max... still miss the little guy.

I've never had a more intelligent dog than my Standard Schnauzer. Quick learner, often the perfect gentleman, but boy, when he gets a mind to he is Mr. Mischievous.

    Yeah.
Beautiful dogs, but I do imagine that's a lot of fur! Our Shibas are heavy shedders, but not as big as Akitas or GSD's. The male blows his coat twice a year, with the pre-summer one being much heavier. It's hard to imagine where all the fur comes from. The female is just constant shedding, she hasn't seemed to develop a pattern where it is noticeably heavier.

Back at you Rich!! Your dogs are beautiful!! My wife and I laugh because we don’t know where it all comes from. It’s amazing how much hair comes out when they blow there coat. Our female Kira the one on the right she is short hair and when it’s coming out it quite amazing. Don’t even want to say about Sumo he is a big boy. He will make you a pillow!! Lol.
