Just bought one last week. Used it while painting a basement floor. Ran all morning on high with the 8.0 battery. It moves more air than I had expected.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I have one and love it. Plug it in for extended use or as mentioned put an 8.0 in and you're good to go for quite a while. Wonderful for working underneath a vehicle when it's hot out.

    Reread what I said.

I'm not buying a weed whacker, nor am I in the market for one. But if one is Fuel, and one isn't, that's the difference between the two. It's what you asked for.

The location of the motor has nothing to do with it. Fuel vs non-Fuel differences applies to all Milwaukee tools.

Going to do the quick detach mod for the handle on the cart due to my Tonneau Cover.

Interesting; going to look that up. Never heard of a quick detach mod and I've got that whole set you've got.

Edit: it's for the handle, nice! There have been times where I felt I wanted to remove it.

I read this time from Milwaukee website. One is a fuel, that has more torque.

For the price difference the Fuel model is the better buy. I just have to see what's available.

I've got one too, got it for Christmas a few years ago, I don't think I would have bought it for myself. The M18 fan is pretty old, came out before most of the other brands, so it lacks performance & features compared most other cordless fans by the other usual brands. I'm surprised it hasn't been updated yet.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, it's still a decent fan especially for how old it is. I'd still buy it today if I needed it only cause I'm on the MW platform.

It's a bit loud for my liking with not that great airflow in comparison. It does have decent runtime though, runs forever on low & med, I've never ran it on high for long periods yet. Hate that it doesn't fit a 12.0, well it does but the 12.0 is too tall for the fan to sit on it's base. But whatever, 5.0 or 9.0 is what I've been using. Surprisingly it does fit HO batteries even though the fan came out before the 21700 packs.

They came out with the M12 fan this year but sucks that it doesn't have a plug in option. I'd like to have both options. Hate that the M18 fan uses a seperate AC adapter but again it's been out for a long time. I hated the external AC adapter so much I modded my fan, I stuffed the AC adapter inside the fan base & installed a socket to use a common 2 pin cord.

    Damn, thanks for that!

I had one, but think it was defective which is why I returned it.

I should buy it and return the battery for a really cheap angle grinder.

Can you return the battery for a partial refund? I thought that was only for add on tools/batteries.
I seriously am thinking about buying the 6 inch angle grinder but only if I can return the battery.

I have done it at least 5 times in the last year at my local HD and the counter never had any issue with it at all.

Some people call this 'the HD hack'

Thats very nice, the main thing I dislike is how large the 120v adaptor is.

Yes, if the battery is offered in a separate package with its own UPC (which it is).

Check out and purchase said items; you'll see it automatically discounts each item for the total sale price shown.

Yep make sure it is priced individually (tool and batt have separate entry and price in checkout) then one can be returned without affecting the discounted price of the other.

Just added to cart and it lists as one single item, might just buy it and see if I can sell the battery to get 2980-20 to be less then $130, I dont really need a cordless grinder and defiantly dont need more batteries. What really sucks is I just bought a 6.0 HO battery about two weeks ago.

*Edit* Pulled the trigger, Ill see how the battery is packaged and hopefully I can return this battery to Amazon in place of the one I ordered recently, if not then I may just return the whole thing to HD or try to sell the battery by it self.

    Huh?

When I added it to the cart, it automatically adds both items.

Are you sure you're looking at the same item? It's through the app even.
