Which bourbon are you talking about? Four Roses isn’t a wheated…

Four Roses. And no, it isn't, but it's sweeter than any wheated I've ever had. Mashbill tricks I'm guessing.

I've had 2 or 3 pours this weekend & God dammit it's good. So far I've only had them neat with chilled stones. I couldn't believe how damn smooth it is at 107 proof, I was expecting to need to add some water. I don't think I'll be able to pass it up again at retail price :spending:

Just a one bottle pickup this weekend. Was in upstate NY all weekend North of Syracuse. Was excited to hunt around, but not much luck.

I have several types of Weller but haven't opened them yet. I had the idea of making poor mans pappy and poor mans four grain, but just haven't gotten to it yet. So I opened up the WSR last night. First time trying it, and I have to say, meh. I figure the neck pour doesn't count so I'll let it sit for a week or so and try again.

in the meantime, one of my favorites is queud up for tonight.

This one is a bit of a gamble.

Old No. 7 has never appealed to me outside of Jack and Coke which...lets be honest could be Coke and damn near any whiskey. Im willing to grant that it doesnt appeal to me because I don't like most whiskies below 90 proof.

Woodford has never done anything for me. The jury is still out on Old Forester because I'm still getting around to trying it. In general, Brown-Forman and I haven't matched up well in the past.

I've read quite a bit about JD SiB BPs being the ultimate expression of the brand. Basically, if you don't like this stuff don't bother with the rest of the JD line.

So, I'll take a flyer on this'n and settle my personal debate for good.

    We shall see.

Some people love the stuff, so I'm willing to give it an open minded try.

Opinions on the matter are like taste buds. Most people have at least one.

Always wondered why there wasn't more of this in this thread.

    More JD or more experimentation?

More JD overall between their SiB BP, Rye and BIB selections.

I really enjoyed this, even the normal single barrels are pretty damn good and I can't stand JD old no. 7

It's actually a 1 liter. Strange size. I have a 1.5 liter WSR, the others are the standard 750ml. Wouldn't mind getting a single barrel, full proof and CYPB, but I don't pay crazy prices, so prob not.
