hey guys this morning on my way to work another driver ran a red light and caused me to swerve and roll over a center median. When it happened I was already slowing down so I probably hit it going about 10-15 mph. one wheel hit the median, while the other one stayed street level causing me to hit the undercarriage by the front right wheel. I THINK im okay... but the hit was HARD and LOUD.... I drove the rest of the way to work and watched all my temps and fluid levels and the truck seemed to drive just fine.

So I thought I would get your guys opinion... how do I look? think I need to get it checked out?

since you hit the lower control arm, i would watch out for any vibrations or pulling when driving. if you dont feel any, then most likely you are ok. if you want total piece of mind, then take it to a shop for evaluation.

Yeah a-arms can take quite a beating, I wouldn't worry too much unless you have a pull to one side or something but anything scraping your frame or metal parts is going to sound like hell in the cab

on a serious note once you find out everything is fine get yourself a can of rustoleum and touch up those gnarly scrapes to prevent any rust and whatnot

I dont even think he saw me....

Thanks! I think I'm going to get the alignment done when I get new tires... The truck isn't shaking or pulling at all and feels tight.

    Nice try

Got some POR 15 in my closet... Now I need to buy some time

hey guys! I just went and got my 100,000 mile maintenance and got the truck back this afternoon.. On the invoice, I see the mechanic said that the back half of the skid plate was missing?? New truck to me... so I wouldn't know... but do you really think I could have left part of my skid plate behind? It's too late to call the shop so that'll have to wait for tomorrow... but this is killing me! I went and took some pictures again...

I don't have pics man sorry. The other of the skid just slips into the front one and bolts up chances are you never had one. Look on here and and other forms and may get lucky and find one. Maybe your stealership will have one.
