pretty impressive since normal operating temp is 194…pinning the thermostat under the truck if you have the Offroad trans cooler package will lower that 10-15 degrees.

I tow a lot and even with 4.88’s and a tune, I still reach over 200 degrees on hills. Your comment is hard to believe unless you have a very light trailer

they attach to the axle and act like a cup to hold the airbag as it comes in contact during articulation. Google: Daystar airbag cradles

here is the Amazon knock off

Gotchya, I understand the idea. I had Firestones on my F150 SCrew. They eventually detached from the base and would get all cattywompus when the rear end settled.

i like the setup so far and I run it fast and hard through the desert when I’m not towing.

Long as it has a v6 and you have a brake controller with electric trailer brakes, your golden. I recently towed a relatives boat that had to be over 3k lbs with my sr5 v6 using my brake controller with the trucks tow package hooked to the trailers wiring system...it all worked well. Basically just hook up and go. Truck had no issues towing using the ECT mode with S4 and 5. I really didn't see much difference from this to my old 2001 tundra.

My trailer is not crazy heavy, but with the thermostat pinned, two coolers, plus the radiator cooler it is not hard to achieve. I use AC condensers in the busses that I maintain with trans fittings brazed on. They work great.

    Check build thread!
Here’s my truck towing 6000 lbs. The weight isn’t so much the issue, it’s more the wind resistance. This setup, was literally no problem. Got 14mpg, towed like a dream. Wasn’t winning any races, but it was stable and stopped fine. My 2800 lbs travel trailer is harder to pull because it’s a brick fuckin wall going thru the air.

My point is you’re gonna be just fine lol.

Edit: forgot to mention my truck has Firestone airbags with a onboard compressor for on the fly adjustment. I love them.
