I don't like height. Plus I have a bummed shoulder.

I have no tools. I just started collecting Milwaukee cordless tools. Drill, impact that's it, no saw.

I vet my contractors really well. The guy that did my patio is the Gate City Foundation guy on YouTube. Saw his videos and his work ethic and knew I had to hire him, he did not disappoint.

The guy coming to install my french door on Friday is a local masonry guy, dude called me back 4-5 times after he came out for the initial quote to ask when he could start and kept assuring me of his work while we bargained the price. Usually I have to beg them to come back out. Hes also got a pile of good google reviews so I feel good about it.

One way I use to tell if their worth hiring is how fast they get back with a price. For larger jobs like a kitchen remodel I understand that can take some time to put together, but if you take more than 3 days to quote a patio or deck Im not hiring you. If that sorta work is all you do for a living, then you should be able to ball park a price pretty much right off the bat if you truly want the work.

    Just my opinion.

I'm not in a rush for this estimate. Starting time frame is 2 months from now.

I got a feeling it's going to be high.

Noticed your from Massachusetts. Stay away from Coastal windows and doors. They do siding and roofs too. They did my house. I’ve seen home owners do it for the first time better than they did.

So just something simple for me today. Still working on clearing and cutting out the overgrowth. This lilac bush, while it smelled great in the Spring, is too damn big!

Only option at this point is to chop it completely. Fired up my little rink-a-dink 16" Ryobi chainsaw and went to town!

I still have to dig and pull the excess and just leave the old main plant, but it should grow back. I saved most of the bulbs from the flowers the previous owner planted where I did my little step off the garage, so they'll go around here. There's still about 6-7 more bushes/evergreens I need to chop down. Doing all this cutting down little by little. Don't want my burn pile too big. It doesn't really matter living in the country, but I don't really want a big ass bon fire.

Never heard of them. A Google search shows nowhere near me.

Is it Coastal windows and doors LLC? That's the only thing popped up.
