I was quoted $800 installed for 4 black 17"x8" ProComp 7089s at 4 wheel parts.

What do you guys think of the price? The wheels only w/o install were 155 + tax.

Tell them to bring the prize down for the rims. I payed 500 for my 7005. I just went to a shop to get them installed for 50$

I forgot that price also included a set of gorilla lugs

Just wondering if it is worth it to buy just the rims, and have them installed at a Firestone or something -- but I have a hard time believing anyone would do it for less than 25 a wheel, mount and balanced

They balanced and everything for $50? That's a damn good price. How well did they balance them?

I think I may have actually paid a little less for mine but not by much. One thing I'd like to point out is after owning these rims for over a year I've managed to scratch the center sleeves from rotating tires and such. After power washing the rims all the paint has peeled off the sleeves. I don't think this is really avoidable but definitely a pain in the ass since I'll have to repaint them every year. Anyone else notice that?

^ The center caps are usually crap.

I had a chrome set on my last Pro Comp wheels and the chrome actually flaked off...I just removed the caps cause it looked better that way anyways.

Did the price include getting the tire pressure monitors working right?

I bought mine off 4wheelonline.com for $420 and got them installed at Americas tire comp with new lugs for $90... I think $800 is way to much. F*ck 4 wheel parts!!!!!

I have the 6089s on my current truck. I am not impressed with pro comp's quality. Needless to say I will not be putting them on my next vehicle.

    Thanks for all the responses.

I didn't even think about 4wheelonline, maybe ATX ledge in black teflon would be a better choice...159 each and free shipping

Thanks. G&J Auto in Corvallis, OR. No sales tax, and they order direct from Pro Comp. A great group of guys who will work with you. Good luck with the buy.
