I’m a big JD fan, after many years of hating.

No hate, just not my thing. Hoping this SiB BP changes that.

Wife was in Canada for work and brought me back a bottle of whiskey, with no clue what it was lol. Well, it was Wayne Gretzky’s Canadian whiskey aged in some sort of sweet wine barrels. I’m sure for some people it is lovely, but my god was it sweet! Ended up making friends that drink mixers in their whiskey finish it haha. She had great intentions at least

A lil this a lil that.

They’re so under rated. If you think about it they’ve been pushing out no 7 for so long. Some goodies are back there hidden for sure!

I used to hate JD. Thought it was way too sweet. But tastes change over the years. Now it's not my go to but I like it. And I taste bananas. Lol

I've never seen Blanton's in a store but found it in a little localish bar. Had to ask the price first. But for $11.50 a pour, I figured I'd give it a shot. It's good and IF I could find it in a store and IF I could find it at MSRP, I'd consider getting a bottle. Otherwise, I'll stick with EW BiB.

Like most all BT products, it's excellent at its price point and hype has completely skullfucked pricing and availability.

BT is, in my opinion, the best bourbon you're going to get for $25, and it's not even close. But at $40, there are many better options widely available.

If that’s for a 2 oz pour, that’s not bad. My local whiskey bar it’s $25 for 2 oz. I love Blanton’s but it’s not holy water. I’ll happily pay the $65 for the bottle, but some of the bar prices are madness.

Depending on pallet, if you like high proof, it’s probably hands down the best on the market…it on the shelf every day at every store. I love my ECBP and Stagg jr but I have to work for those

old number 7 is the worst thing JD makes, all thier special releases are ridiculous

    yes sir

I have a special place in my heart for Jack Daniels, the topic of the thread today.

It’s right between high school SwampYota’s love for Jim Beam with a Mountain Dew chaser and 30 year old SwampYota’s discovery of Maker’s Mark.

The bourbon of my 20’s was Jack and Coke. Goes fan-fucking-tasting with a Marlboro Light, one more thing I don’t pick up anymore.

Anyway, Eagle Rare tonight. I need to hear some reviews on these special Jack Daniels.

Lol yup, this is why I went to the JD distillery and had such a focus on it. Before I drank craft beer, everyone knew my camp load out for wheeling was a handle of jack and coke to go with it. I never liked beer before craft beer existed so it was my go to get hammered beverage. Except my smoke of choice was Newports cause #jersey.

    Bold statement.

Ima be real: Ima big Wild Turkey fan and I doubt this will move the Heavens and unseat Rare Breed for me personally. But I'm perfectly willing to like it and seek it if it strikes me at that level of enjoyment.

I’m a big fan of the more experimental Jack Daniels. If you ever pass through Tennessee, keep an eye out for the little Tennessee tasters bottles. They only sell them there.

perfectly fine, we all have different pallets, I am a big turkey fan as well.

Not sure They are comparable tho. JD typically comes in around 130 proof, I’d consider it a different class. Also a single barrel

WT distills and barrels everything they do at a much lower proof than the industry average. I leave it to individuals to make of that what they will.

Yeah, I don't really need to compare 'em. If I like em both, that'll do.
