What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

My 3" pipe repair is still holding up. I have a ubolt flip and they were a little snug getting on. Wasn't enough that I couldn't get them through the holes in the plate though.

 

Prepping the frame and undercarriage for winter...Where the heck did summer go?!

Stripping to bare metal. Followed by a coat of rust converter. Followed by two coats of tremclad rust paint. Followed by Fluid film.

 

Shit, our "winter" doesn't start till December. And it ends in March at the latest

Can always do the FF and disc conversion down the line, but then still 8.4 dif soooo

Hey there @Empty_Lord would you be looking for a standard bed for your 95? I'm thinking about going the flat bed route myself.

 

Looking forward to your review of those LCA's. How long did it take for you to get em?

Summer is still in full swing! High of 84* and that's be a typical low recently due to the rain we've been getting

Finally got to drive the truck today. Got everything put back together. All the lights come on like they should, it dings the way it's supposed to ding, and it turned on...

Which means I fixed the 3 wires I nicked when cutting the firewall, those were the only one I nicked, and I didn't melt any wires with any of the small fires we started in the cab when we were welding it back together...

We're winnin!

 

I was gonna tub for 37s.. I think I'll just get a new set of 35s.... Now... Should I go 17s...get bigger brakes.... Uggh.

The 3.4 will always be a pig lol. You are in the same boat as me, I drive my GFs second gen and it makes me not miss my heavy pig. More power and more comfortable. But then I wheel my truck and I remember why I love it.
