Anyone have a favorite brand of y strap for their spare tire?

Appreciate the suggestions. I’ve been happy with my prp products but also have always heard great things about macs. Wasn’t sure if there were others out there that were notable. Ordered up the macs because it is more tire size specific and won’t have the extra strap length and what not

Yeah I get that, my current set up is probably in the neighborhood of 5k (RC Fab spindles, JD fab double shear heim steer, TC sway gussets, Fox 2.5 with DSC and 700# King Coils, All Pro 1.25" Uniball uppers poly bushings all around, TC cam tab gussets, durobumps and probably forgetting something, still mid travel) but the 14k stated as I recall for the RCLT kit doesn't include shocks or extended CV shafts which you have to source on your own so really all in the Marlin kit would be closer to 20k which is a far far cry from "Reasonably priced" in my opinion.

I was about to recommend Mac’s too. Super well made and hand made in America which is why I opted for it.

Just curious, what's going on with the riveted plates in the rear and holes in the fender wells of the bed?

Oh and the holes are to access the nut on my shock relocate. Rather than become increasingly mad trying to get a wrench back there I made a hole large enough to put a socket on it.

Still waiting on a tire, but back on the ground. Everything works good except my fuel cell is leaking worse than before I “fixed” it haha go figure.

The 14k included rcvs, radflo shocks and the steering rack. If you have a shop install it might be close to 20k, but we werent counting labor.

Living on the coast even with my truck parked in a sealed garage every night my Macs y-strap fittings corroded and started to rust. It still works great and I have used a ton of their products and love them but have since swapped to a speed strap and it has held up so far...

I bought the speed straps and once I got them setup I cut and burned the end of the straps so no excess.

Are you putting something like flat steel or aluminum under the bed to mount the d rings so its not just tying to the composite? Or is there a good way to strengthen it

@CGoss how far into your front crossmember did you cut for the ram? Did that keep the same centerline as the stock rack?
