Full size spare on the same wheel as the other four.

So a few people will get the tax credit. Everyone else won’t.

The tire is $400 so that makes the 21” or 22” wheel $500. The spare wheel (not including the tire) on my Tacoma almost cost me more.

Why is everything stupidly expensive? $2500 upgrade charge to change to different wheels and tires. $3500 if you want black wheels. WTF! I didn’t even add any of the other accessories like a roof rack. The pull out camp kitchen is a bargain at $6,700. :D It’s like a different kind of currency. Imagine how much repair work and parts will cost.

What? You paid $500 for a Toyota wheel? I bought a set of TRD Pro 4Runner wheels from the dealer a couple years ago for around $900. I just bought a set of AT tires last week for $1100. Do we have different money here in MA?

The flip side is “why do you expect them to give you everything for free?”
No, I don’t have a Toyota wheel. I have TE37XT’s. My point was quality isn’t cheap.

I don’t expect things to be free. I expect to not get ripped off. The standard tires are 21” wheels with road tires. To downsize the wheels to 20 and get AT tires is an additional $2500 to $3500. That’s ripping you off. The price should be the same or even less to go to smaller wheels.
In regards to quality isn’t cheap. Is it really quality or is it just an overpriced fad?

I just looked up the Rivian tire sizes. I don’t know what brand of tire they provide but a Wildpeak in 275/60R20 is $287.

I agree that downsizing shouldn’t incur an additional cost. I guess we will need to wait to find out if it is a fad. Those who are waiting for the price to come down should compare what happened at Tesla over 10 years. The 2012 Model S topped out under $100k, whereas the 2022 Model S tops out just over $150k. You get more in the 2022 car and they make sure you are paying for it.

Wow a sucker born everyday I guess. What tire is the Rivian running that is $400, not even my Maxxis bias plys were $400. What wheels do you have for $500, my full conversion beadlocks weren't even $500. LOL, it's actually so ridiculous it's funny.

They are genuinely just ripping people off.

I have Rays. If you can find them for $500, I’m sure they’d be sold out by now.

As they say “A fool and his money…”

Majority of people on here would be perfectly fine with a base model FWD Ford Maverick…including myself. Hell, could of bought two for what I paid for my Tacoma…

The joke is they market the truck as an adventure vehicle and an off-roader. At those prices it’s just a toy for the rich to show off.

Are they really rich, or just making payments? Most of the “well to do” people I know are leveraged to their eyeballs.

Don’t consider myself rich, but I am debt free.
