My thermostat is wired, but also has batteries as a backup. AAA batt's I think. I agree about the utility companies not having control, but they do it here in AZ. They've been emailing and mailing me for months to switch to a smart thermostat and they'll give me discount if I do. Yeah, no thanks. :D

Actually, you do have a mini split system but you have the air handler instead of wall mounted units. I think we found the issue, the Honeywell branded thermostat doesn't work as intended with the Mitsubishi split system, you need the MHK2.

    What's an MHK2?

I have a Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat and the Mitsubishi stuff is SUZ-KA18 and SVZ-KP12 I believe.

Supposedly I can add a mini-split to the air handler later on and I just might get a little one specifically for the game room.

Never had a single issue till today and it's working just fine now.

Dunno if all the lightning were had earlier had anything to do with it but thag was long over before it had it's hiccup.

It all about the up sell.

The contractor isn't from the immediate area and trying to make it worth his while.

They want the bigger job than the smaller job.

Idk I kinda like the white wash job they did on our front brick fascia. Less red and rustic, more modern look. Goes well with the blue exterior.

I have this exact saw with a 20 inch bar. Great saw -some say one of the best on the market.
Do yourself and the saw a favor and read the manual. This saw (the 261CM) requires a calibration procedure to be done to it when new and times when the seasonal temps change. Some will tell you this is not necessary, -they are wrong. If your dealer did not do this just read the manual and do it. it is better for the saw, and you get to know your new saw better.
This is for the 261 CM which has the "M-tronic" fuel control system.
The 261 is the lowest priced saw in the "Pro-series of Stihls with a great power to weight ratio.

Speaking of contractors, is there ever any argument the customer can make when the contractor doesn’t meet schedule? I’ve got plumbers doing some work and they started Monday and said they’d be back Tuesday afternoon to finish the work. Well something happened and they couldn’t make it. Told me they’d be here at 8 this morning, they called and had another issue and said they’d be late. 2.5 hours later still nothing but they “guaranteed” they’d be done today. At what point does the customer ever get compensated for lost time?

Says the work they’ll do and the price I’ll pay. Nothing schedule wise hence my question. They communicated each time it would be done, and each time it slid. They’re here now finishing up I’m just curious what contractors think when it comes to that.

I suppose it depends on how busy they are, they're sub contractors or workers availability and what their work ethic and attention to detail is. I always thought customers were supposed to negotiate a payment plan and schedule with contractors. Like 1/3 up front, 1/3 when half way done and 1/3 when finished?

I have the same problem with my office. PC plus server plus south facing window equals HOT!

If you have a window in that room, get it tinted as dark as you can. That helped my room a lot.

You can also replace your thermostat with one of these if your wiring is compatible: https://www.amazon.com/ecobee-EB-ST...e&qid=1659570614&sprefix=ecobee,aps,91&sr=8-3

I have one in my house and it's super easy to use. You can also add remote sensors. Put one in your office and tell the thing to run your aircon if it gets to a certain temperature and you can at least keep it from getting up to 90°. It'll cool the rest of the house way down, but you won't fry your PC.
