I know, been asked a thousand times but before I pull the trigger….
Have stock wheels and 245/75/16 tires
Need new tires anyway so thought I would change the look, leave stock height
2020 SR, nothing fancy like you guys but it’s my first and I know not last Tacoma

from all your experience and yes, I read it will work but asking again since many of you have already upgraded so help a brother out..

    installing
    KMC XD series Enduro 122
    16 inch
    4.5 BS
    0 OS

    tires
    Toyo OC 111
    265/75/16

reading it’s close to the caliper but other then that, no rub on the wheel and the tire should also clear

    send me some love
Thank you all for the great info on all else

You're good to go. I am very pleased with my Toyo Open Country AT III's.

Are you getting SL load range or were you going LT? Only thing with LT tires is that they are heavier so less MPG's

Yeah, heard that as well with LT so still up in the air on load/type. I’m not pulling or hauling heavy loads often. Maybe 30 bushel's of tomatoes once a year but I take my sons 2020 as well so we split the load if we pick up more. Other loads may be some mulch, top soil etc, but not excessive.
He got his 2020 first, SR5 drove it, bought one but the SR

Go with the SL's or the load range C's. I got the E's and they are a tad heavy. lost about 3mpgs

    All
This is why this “stuff” is so confusing to guys just starting out
KMC, themselves said my previous post on using a
    16x8
    4.5 BS
    0 OS
    Will not clear the brakes

suggested a16x9 ???? So I can move up to a 265 rather then the 245 which is max on the 16x8
Also said to use -12 mm OS

knowing that many of you are running a 265/75/16 on 16x8, can you tell me the specs on the wheels you had put on?
I’m on hold until such time

if no reply, my just take AJ's recommendation and go with the first
    Thanks

Go to a 17” you’ll have zero brake clearance issues. More tire choices. 17x8 0 offset 265/70/17 call it a day.

Would that work on stock suspension?

Yes a 17 wheel will fit with no concern of brake clearance. No matter if the 265 is a 16” or a 17” wheel the tire is still the same height. Only difference is the 16” will have an inch more sidewall than the 17”

I would actually like to stay with the 16 and get the beefier look of the sidewall. Just need to find a 16 without offset that would clear the breakers and even if I move up a size in tires my come to the fender edge but not passed
Gotta be a wheel out there in 16 that clears without getting a negative OS
Figure the size up in tire will push me out an inch or so anyway

You cannot go above a 265 either /70 R17 or /75 R16 without trimming and cutting. There are plenty of 16" wheels out there that don't have crazy offset that will fit. Look into SCS, FN, Method, and a lot more I can't think of right now. Look through threads that are showing off 265 75 16 tires and wheels. Should give you a lot of ideas.

you won’t even notice the difference in side wall height , it a 1/2” difference you’re splitting the 1” on two sides of the wheel.

I originally wanted 16"s but went for the 17" trd pro wheel because I liked the style, are relatively light, affordable, and high quality. It's very hard to tell between a 16" and 17" Some will argue ride quality on road but in either case there is plenty of sidewall to cushion your ride. This is a 265 70 17.

The 265/75R16 and 265/70R17 are very popular fitments for the 3rd gen Tacomas. In 99% of cases they will fit with no rubbing. The 0 offset on the wheels may pull the out far enough that you may need to remove or modify the stock mudflaps and front air-dam if your vehicle is equipped with it.

    Solid choice in product!
