They should be able to. I added them to my personal google maps and to a Garmin GPS. The files have all of the trails and sometimes its hard to figure out what one is what but they can be separated. I tried to write a python script to sort them for me but I can't code so it didn't work.

I'm in. I always use Basecamp to plot and or load all my stuff.. I'm assuming I use that to do what's necessary?

It should plot them all in basecamp when you import the files. If it doesn't name them right or if you need separate files you can read the GPX file in notepad and create multiple files for each trail. I'll send you the files and you can play with them

You the man. If you were closer I'd have you show me. lol. I'm still not that great with Basecamp and only use it when I absolutely have to. I was looking on Garmins site over the weekend. havent checked out their stuff in awhile. I see they make an "Overland" version of essentially what I've been running for years. I did see some other new models I liked though.. and thought about upgrading. Although.. really no need I think. Mine does pretty much all I want it to. I run the Arizona Hunt map. Its mostly just used for the fulltime Satellite imagery. I use that more than anything for navigating. Seeing 2 tracks, where they lead to if at all, geographical landmarks and markers, etc. I use my phone and wireless Android for my ion town and general use stuff.. then I have the Garmin running as well with Due North orientation and Satellite imagery. Idk.. I just love having that.. it has never failed me and has helped in so many situations. I'll go into Basecamp to download then load imagery from other states when we do our big trips. One of the new models I saw is now able to download imagery straight to the gps via wifi... I need that.. since like I said that's all I really use. hmmm maybe I just convinced myself.. lol would be a lot easier.. then paired with those GPX files you've got.. and then basically its overlaid 2 track imagery over those marked little trails. which is exactly what I want.

I have the Magellan version of the Garmin Overland and I hate it. It constantly has issues when trying to get somewhere even though it has all of these trails preloaded in it. Lately If I do make a map or download a gpx file I just load in into google maps and make sure I have the area saved locally on my phone or tablet. Skylar and I both have gamin watches and sometimes I use their explore software to upload gxp files from All Trails so we have the hike mapped on our watches. I'm sure the Explore software can read these files too. It the organizing them that is taking me some time.

Example of what it looks like in google maps uploaded:

The TRX? I had that for a short time and thought the same thing.. that's how I ended up with my current Garmin Drivetrack 70. Works soooo much better. It just never had the small local az trails.. but if I could see the trails via satellite I was good.

I have used Google to plot and then export and all that.. it was nice in Google.. but still had to do all the offline stuff.. so I just stuck with the Garmin and setting it up.

your GPX files should pair and work perfectly for what I'm trying to accomplish!

Here is what a All Trails map looks like in the Garmin Software. This was a backpacking trail we went on last year for my wife's birthdayGPS Temp.jpg

Wow, Ford's CEO is straight up saying in public that he essentially wants to cut dealers out of the equation they've gotten so bad.
They're already putting some serious penalties (removing allocations and outright dealer terminations) for being caught doing a lot of the horseshit being pulled. Should be nice to be able to order what you want without absurd markups. Though I'm sure there will still be some failed high school bully trying to sell you paint protection and a shitty Chinese alarm system.

Wonder if this means that Toyota will follow suit, hopefully soon. Toyotas are great automobiles but fuck me the dealership experience is trash in the valley.:frusty:

Been hearing about more manufacturers leaning in this direction. Ford is supposed to start selling the Maverick on this kind of platform. Makes sense considering dealers are marking up prices to such extremes that the "affordable" bronco is almost unobtainable. I really hope this trend picks up

Can they "legally" do this? Like the alcohol industry, the dealers lobbied for the laws that force manufacturers/ distillers/ brewers to sell to a distributor and not directly to the public. Not trying to downplay it, but Tesla has been trying to do this for some time, and it's worked, but it is much more complicated/ difficult than going down and picking... the red one.

The video explains it a little better than I can but basically they can't just end dealerships altogether because of said lobbying.

However they can start to enforce their policies better for dealers trying to game the system.

See what a lot of Ford dealers were doing was ordering Broncos, saying "nonononono, I totally have a customer here named John Q. Not-a-fake-name, he wants a red one" and then upon receiving the Bronco they tell Ford "lol sorry the guy cancelled" and put it on their lot for $50K markup because at that point the pricing protection was gone. Now you're going to have to prove that 75%+ of your orders actually go to the customer who ordered them or else you get dinged allocations of other cars and/or 3-strike your way to no more Ford dealer.

Got the lift installed on the Sequoia finally, and finished up the baseline maintenance...now to get it aligned and some proper tires, maybe even wheels.
