What im saying to the OP, is simply take the time to take a tape measure to things, leave some margin for error and safety (bumpstop compression) and go from there and look at collapsed lengths of shocks. Then purchase what he desires with the knowledge he wont be bottoming a shock before bump (whether it be a B110 with a spaced bump stop or a 5125 without) as well as other issues (need for extended brake lines etc).

I know personally with a Dakar EL095R medium pack there is NO WAY id space a bumpstop 1 inch to allow me to to use a B110, Uptravel is an important thing in my book, But thats for my needs, I dont need to be the most flexy, but id like to be able to have a solid load in the truck and have some uptravel left.

 

could you link to me to the standard duty you speak of? I see medium duty packs for almost $500. I dont carry more than 300lbs in the bed fully loaded on trips, is there possibly a cheaper pack that still allows for that flex for the b110 but just isnt rated for the same amount of weight as the medium duty? i DD with an empty bed too

are you guys running the B110's getting decent life out of them? I have under 10k miles and less than a year on mine and i suspect they're already bad by the noise i have in the rear suspension (sounded like my first set of Bilstein 5100s when they were toast)

Debating trying out Fox if i confirm the rears are bad.

 

2+ years on mine. No issue. Are yours topping/bottoming out?

 

Hey guys. I have the Dakar medium duty pack with standard 5100s. Already installed rear brake lines. I have a set of b110 I bought used a few years back and some wheelers superbumps. I'm finally getting ready to install these. Anything else I need to do? I mainly go on easy and moderate trails low speed to find remote campsites. Also drive the truck around town and occasionally pull my 2k lb tent trailer. Thoughts? I read through @Crom build thread and it seems to be a good setup. Thanks guys

 

Dakar heavies, b110, superbumps and rago shackle hangers here. Trim your leaf packs correctly and its smooth sailing. This is on 35's.

 

Why not 5160?

is it regeared? Why not Archive hangers?

 

No need for Resi currently and i didnt want to relocate the shock, i have 4.56's but i ran 35's stock for about a year. Sucked, i didn't go with archive because i got these for $375 the first day they dropped. IMO archive is teensy bit overpriced, i went with rago because i like how they added an extra securing point and they give half inch of lift with a greasable poly bushing same as archive.

 

5160 isn’t a relocate
It adds resi for not much more than non resi; pair is around $400

 

I paid 150$ for the B110's and all i do are rocky trails, no nascar stuff. they will rot away in my NE salt before i can ever go fast enough to need them.

 

I know it’s old but what was the outcome do you have to relocate shock mounts or just brake lines and bumps?
