It could be like the Bronco and take 20 years.

I met a Rivian employee a few days ago driving a muddy R1t in Denver. Young kid maybe mid-20's, said he prefers the R1S. I can't justify going full electric. The range isn't there.

EV lead times are only going to grow as more people place orders for them, I'm expecting an average wait time of 5 years if people order after 2024. High tech options will also go away. Prices will go up, so the appeal of the status symbol will still be there.

I saw that Ford is adding a lower grade LED option to some Bronco trims. That must mean that LEDs are getting harder to obtain, or more expensive.

2023 Pros, might end up being SR5s with a locker halogen lamps, Fox shocks, and the exclusive color.

I don't know what this could entail for adaptive head light mandate. Vehicles have become so technologically advanced, even though it's old tech. OEM suppliers can't keep up.

Seems like the smart thing to do for both the customer and to ramp up your manufacturing would be to switch to installing adaptive headlights before they were approved by NHTSA so that they can be activated in an OTA update.

Unless the manufacturer can not source the components to build the lamps.

IDK if there's a parts shortage of LED chips.
