Finally got this unit buttoned up.

It fought me for the last month and a half, but I won!

I just got done cutting the grass. It drives and cuts perfect!

Congrats! I've owned a Big Tex gooseneck for a couple years now and it has been treating me great. I'm sure this trailer will serve you well for years to come.

Binders came in. These are nice and child proof.

Good to hear! A friend has a few clients that he does landscaping work for on the side and he has a Big Tex that has held up very well. I think his is a 70PI or whatever that model was called about 8 years ago.

@koditten I have a questions about zero turn mowers.
Is there a way you perform a balance of the drives so that pushing the levers full forward it goes straight instead of having to pull back one lever a little to balance the forward motion?

On these commercial units I play with, there is a linkage for each hydraulic pump. You need 2 1/2" wrenches to free the jamb nuts, then you can turn the linkage to lengthen or shorten the throw of the arm. They work similar to a tie rod end.

It does take some thinking, since pushing the arm forward makes the linkage move backwards, so you have to think that way.

I would to add, and if it's a hustler brand ZTR, loc tite the nuts after you found the right adjustments. Never had issues with the Gravely.

Do you start with a half turn or more when adjusting? It annoys me that when mowing I have to limit the forward, and the reverse is also weaker on one side so I figure its something slightly askew.

Make sure the bypass plugs are snug as well. if one is slightly loose, it will make that side less powerful.
Just good and snug, no need for multiple ugga, duggas.

That toolbox is on the neck of my gooseneck is why they are all jumbled in there.

For a couple years, I keep telling myself that I'm gonna get a nice chain and cut it up and add hooks for those shorter tie downs, one of these days lol

My shorter chains look just like anyone else's. Never really sure what you are gonna pull out of the box.

That is what I need to do with these. Traded some gas to a guy for them. I also need to weld two hooks on my loader arms so I can use short chains and a dog on each side.

My JD 530r has an adjustment on each arm to balance the drives. Seems each mower is different.

    No like.

You are gonna have to cut off the front and rear spring hanger and move them in...or find longer springs.

What can happen is if you have a good load on the trailer, when you enter or exit a steep drive at an angle, those links can invert. It is a job to get them back to their correct position.
