Hey guys, I need to replace my kickdown cable for my 99’ taco with the A340E trans.

I’ve scoured the internet and I’ve turned up empty handed, I couldn’t find one to save my life. I have found them for other yotas but I don’t know if they will be compatible.

Any suggestions on where I could order would be great otherwise I’ll be hopping from pick and pull to pick and pull in order to scavenge one.

35520-35190, this is the part number for the kick down cable.

I had to buy one from the stealership about 5 or so years ago for around $160... Literally the only option I was able to find. That or go to a junkyard, but then your still on borrowed time.

I've ordered quite a few times lately using partsouq - never an issue. A couple of orders back, I placed the order on a Friday and it arrived Monday AM. They aren't shipping via sea - its FedEx Air.

    One example -

Neutral Safety Switch for an A340F. Shipping was $13.84

    McGeorge Price -

Bottom line, your experience may vary but I find their prices are very competitive. What led me to them (also been using Toyota of Colorado Springs) was McGeorge was typically taking a week or longer to arrive. Might be because I'm on the west coast and McGeorge is on the east but it just seems like forever before it arrived.

I've bought several things from dubui.....always had good luck.
    but shipping was rediculous....like $34 for a $45 item....
and didnt get especially quick....like couple weeks....

Dubui seems to be hot bed for taco parts......must be all those Hilux's in that part of world...
even the van's use the same parts......

And with Mcgeorge unfortunately would of socked u with another $22 shipping for that $130 part......all the dot.com domestic toyota sites charge about twice what it really costs them....
Its so bad.....Mcgeorge will have a sale on their shipping....not free, just slightly discounted......

I've been ordering from them for years, never an issue and authentic OEM parts.

Curious what your mileage is? I once had a set of OEM LBJs ready to go but this surprises me as a part to keep on hand. But I don’t fault you one bit for being prepared.

Couple months ago when putting everything back together after replacing my egr valve,
that cable snagged and wouldnt close all the way when installing back on throttle body......it was definitely an'Oh Shit' moment, but eventually got it freed up........
.....that cable is very very important, tranny will not shift without it.........or with it binding up at all....

and it sits right above the exhaust heads, cooking year after year, lube is being cooked out, even mine I stuck an extra silicone insulate jacket around it, and it is the longest and most bendy cable you have......

I've just shy of 170K on mine, almost everything replaceable has been replaced.....
damn near every part on the truck I've held in my hand........
few surprises....like the calipher with no bleed valve, and there's the rusty needle bearings from the UJ that feel out in my hands.......but better then the next one which the needles were gone.....poof....

Only thing I havent done is rear axle seal on ea side before they fail and ruin the $100 axle bearing.....
....the fuel hoses on each side filter, those about $125 ea.....
lastly pedal throttle cable, and cruze control cable.....
Most all this had 25yr on it......think I got my money's worth.....

Fuel regulator hose split and failed last week, egr work must of stressed it out...
All vac and heater hoses replaced with high temp silicone ones, blue so its easy to spot any problems......

Agreed, I know it’s important that it works right and is set correctly. I’m glad mine is smooth still. I only fiddled with it during my VC job a couple years back.
