The 3.4 will always be a pig lol. You are in the same boat as me, I drive my GFs second gen and it makes me not miss my heavy pig. More power and more comfortable. But then I wheel my truck and I remember why I love it.

4runner brakes are slightly bigger and require 17s I believe

You can get the larger 4-5th gen 4runner ones if you want. But those require 17s. Think they are close to 250mm or something. Can't remember what they are called.

Ripped these out yesterday and replaced them with the upgraded Denso motor west injectors. Hoping it could fix my p0300. Also replaced the fuel pressure regulator. I can’t hear the misfire anymore when starting but my CEL just came back on but now the p0300 is under pending codes and my p0420 is under stored codes. Usually it was the other way around.
    Starts and runs great though.

Lol. Not going to lie, I was thinking about him and those rope hooks while I was removing them. I try not to be OCD about my vehicles though, at the end of the day it's just a truck.

Pulled the trigger on a TRD supercharger woohoo. Fresh rebuild with receipts, new plugs, belts and gaskets. I guess I made my mind up and keeping the ol girl! Haha! Can’t wait for this. Perfect timing now that fuel prices have dropped substantially up here.

Who has done this? And, is there a write up?

Is it just like doing the Tundra swap?

yeah basically. Although I think there is something more involved, i can't remember. Might have to machine something. Things are huge though. 6 piston calipers I believe. Think it was @Empty_Lord I was talking to about this maybe?

Ya, I just looked it up. The bigger 4th Gen 4 Runner brakes are the same as GX470 brakes... at 338mm rotors

Yeah big boys. And I remembered, you have to machine the mounting points on the spindles for the calipers to get them centered. Or the calipers I suppose.
