Even though the moon is made of cheese there are no cows on the moon so that seems worthless.

This happened with the Tesla Model 3's "matrix" (adaptive) headlights. The updated headlights were being installed on all Model 3s since early 2021, but the adaptive feature isn't activated yet. Due to parts shortages in early 2022, Tesla started installing the older (non-matrix) headlights in their non-Performance models without notifying customers ahead of time.

Saw this article and couldn't help but think of this thread. Maybe there is something to the fire danger of EVs. Think of a city filled with a million EVs...

People should be a little nervous about it. Especially with new models until they have been vetted. People seem to forget the hoverboard fires, laptop fires, Samsung fires, etc. Once the majority of vehicles in use are EVs and are charging all over the place there will probably be a lot more bad fires.

Still don’t get these EVs. EV hummer lists for $110,000 and is listed below for over $150,000. The math doesn’t make sense at all. If you subtract $50,000 (Tacoma
Cost) from the cost of the hummer ($110,000) that leaves you $60,000 for fuel. At $5 a gallon you could buy 12,000 gallons of gas which @20MPG gives you about 240,000 miles to drive. Even if you subtract out the oil changes you are still money ahead. People are crazy

This is like asking why people get an S class when they could get a Corolla instead.

Obviously that's for the rich or dumb. Can't compare to a EV Tacoma. I also make the same argument for EVs that are 20k more expensive than the same exact class of fuel vehicle

Or like someone converting that $60,000 delta into bicycles. “I could have 300 bikes and a Tacoma instead of an EV Hummer! What idiot would buy the EV?!”

You could spend $90,000 on a 3500 GMC, and still use it to do truck things, like towing and hauling.[IMG]

and still have enough money left to buy a new TRD OR.

Jeep 4xe, what advantages does that have over a standard Wrangler?

    If it's $20,000 more, I don't think it's worth it either

If you get a Jeep 4xe just because you want it. That makes sense.

    Rav4 Prime vs Rav4 hybrid. :p

I'll take my R4P any day, it does everything the R4H does plus with rebates the end cost was exactly the same, plus I only spend about 5c a mile.

You do know you only pay for gas when you 1st fill up the tank, and not per mile.

There are a lot of fools that have to be first to buy everything like the people that wait in line for days to get the new IPhones.
