Holy crap Jim , have the doctor's figured out the cause is yet ?? ..... thoughts and prayers sent !!!!

Hope it's not Orthostatic hypotension ,that's what I was diagnosed with back in 2019 . It's a low blood pressure condition that can cause you pass out if you get up out of a chair to quickly

We used the words update and crash together often as in:
"They updated the server Friday afternoon and it just crashed." -- At 5:15 Monday morning. :smash:

The problem was the production people came in at 5am, the important people who fixed the server didn't start until 8.

I had a few fainting spells in my 20's and they never figured it out. 1st time was an ER visit and they didn't find anything wrong - BP, blood sugar, heart rate, etc etc
Not that it was directly related but it was long before I figured out the gluten intolerance thing and i had a lot of stomach/digestive issues. There was a lot of nights i would be up late because my stomach was bothering me and it was worse to lay down. Passed out once on the toilet. I remember sitting down and next thing I know my (now ex) husband was shaking me and all panicked. I was like WTF you doing in here, leave me alone!!! Totally confused why he was in the bathroom with me. I had conked my head on the side of the vanity as I went down. Had a good goose egg but nothing serious. He was freaked and insisted on the ER.... $500 later and they said they didn't know and released me.
Happened again about a year later when I was visiting my folks. Same deal, up late, stomach issues. Thankfully they had cushy carpet in the bathroom because that time I passed out as I was walking into the bathroom and landed face first like I was a doing a muslim prayer or something - legs tucked, arms out (was still pushing the door closed when I went down). No idea how long I was out as mom and dad didnt hear anything but i came to all confused again with my forehead against the carpet. Super lucky that the carpet was there and that i didn't pass out any sooner and i had climbed a set of stairs to get to the bathroom.... SLOWLY sat up and then crawled out to the living room and flopped on the couch for a while. Stomach was fine after that. Weird.
Then I was good for...12...13 years and in 2017 it happened again. While I was camping. Rare occasion that i was not alone on that trip. Was packing up the RTT and Runner and I was on the ladder when i got really nauseous. Knew something was wrong just didn't know what so I just sort of perched on the door sill of Runner and was sitting with my elbows on my knees, head in my hands. Next thing I know my friend is shaking me and my butt is on the ground. Friend said I was mumbling something right before, dont remember that part. Had some OJ and a banana when i came to and again the nausea passed right away. Didn't eat much the night before and the two times prior so I don't know if it was a blood sugar thing or what... haven't had it happen again *knock on wood* but I'm a lot more careful about not skipping meals - especially if I'm traveling - as that was really the only common tie between all occurances.

so yeah...long story but sometimes you never get answers. hope thats not the case for you. but dont rule anything out - our bodies are weird and you never know whats going on!

Ouch, that looks like it might hurt a bit. I hope they can figure out the mystery soon and come up with a good treatment so it doesn't happen again.

And yeah I think your wife is right. :anonymous:

Maybe it needs a trail of food to follow into the trap.

Well shit, Jim! I’m guessing blood sugar issues or a lack of blood flow from the heart. Either way, serious. That’s a nasty fall for sure! Sure hope the doctors figure it out quickly. Make sure you keep your wife nearby. Glad she was there when you fell.

Good morning all. Ain't that the truth Dewayne. Those nasty things almost ended my life about 20 some years ago when they stung the shit out of me. A trip to the e.r. saved the day. I have these wasp catchers up around my house. They do a good job catching and killing them.
