    @Speedytech7

    Wasn't even aware of the alternator mod kid by 'photoman'

    Apparently Wit's End is going to offer it, with Bill's permission.

    Enterprise didn't have the mid size SUV we reserved so they gave us the only SUV they had left, a 2021 Nissan Armada. Thing is a freaking tank

    I gotta say it hauls ass though, at least compared to what I'm used to. 4wd too so may have to find some trails...

    I almost bought a used one. The newer ones are basically rebadged Patrols now. Seeing what they can do is crazy...then a nice comfy drive home. Even one of those side air vents on the front is apparently designed to just pop out to install a snorkel so you don't have to drill.

    girlfriends new job is with a heavy equipment rental/dealer. They have a welder onsite, and it sounds like he's always got some crazy big thing that needs fixing. Perfect place to learn from a pro.

    Been on summer break, but jumping back in with MIG in a couple weeks I think.

    Congratulations on finishing! Sounds like it was a big, possibly open ended but necessary step! Looking forward to see where you run with it.

    Isn't cooking school next?

    Ahh cool bet she's going to love MIG!

    It's just way easy!

    And thanks!

    Yes cooking was in the works, but multiple opportunities are presenting themselves and really I want to get right back to work more than anything.

    If it means anything, I did already turn down one job offer. With the demand for welders being really high out here, I can get pretty picky.

    Yeah, the first time she welded was in my garage and it didn't take but 20 minutes and some instruction to get a pretty decent bead. I think shes gonna do great.

    What are you looking for in a job?
