    My generator gets a regular workout, being in storm/hurricane zone. Being the second to last house on the line doesn’t help. I keep swearing I am going to put in a whole house natural gas generator… but that seems to be a Pandora’s box of dos and don’ts (+$$$$). So I'm ill prepared for it.

    When I lived at my parents many years ago the power went out in an ice storm. My welder ran for 2 days powering the house. Energy company came, they had 2 bucket trucks that would reach way up for the transmission lines. Power was on in no time. Come to find out one of the workers who lived on that road that worked on the transmission crew had them come and get it back on, he didn’t tell them he and his family lived a few houses down:anonymous:

    I may or may not have been dating his daughter :anonymous:

    I'm really liking it and so is my old man with the taco. It has a few little things going on but nothing that would make me say no to the truck. It drives great. Dad had just put a ton of money into tires, pads, rotors, new tpms and a new caliper that was touchy. We agreed I wouldn't trade the Silverado for anything as he knew I was looking at Tundys. He called me a few days later and said trade it if you want I dont care:rofl:. I said I'm getting a 3/4 ton 8 lug truck I'm not trading it for a 5 or 6 lug 1/2 ton Tundra. No way. Momma is happy. I'm happy.

    That’s great, glad yawl are both happy :D

    I tried to buy my dads 2003 2500HD several years ago, he didn’t want to sell it. Understandable.

    About a year ago he comes by and says “I sold my truck” o_O

    I tried to buy a tractor from a friend for close to 15 years, he wouldn’t sell it. About 3 years ago my dad came by and said “I bought that tractor” o_O

    Not sure what happened with me and him there :bananadead:

    I really liked that 2003 body style as well. Good looking trucks that whole era before 2006. 06 was not my favorite.

    Two customers just happened to run into each other in our store, both friends of mine. Both Vietnam Veterans. One a combat medic from the 173rd Airborne who served 3 tours being shot each tour and the last one almost died from his injuries. The other a sergeant who served a year after the other one.

    The 173rd one said 21 soldiers in his unit made it back. The stories they were talking about made me appreciate the freedoms we have even more.

    They moved out to the porch and been there for 20 minutes talking.

    Thank you Veterans :hattip::oldglory:

    Happy Friday everyone! Made it to our campsite last night and got set up. Spent a while at the lake shore playing in the water. Went for a walk after dinner and found an open spot closer to where our friends are. Talked to the camp host and he said go ahead and move so we packed back up and moved about 830 last night.
    Have a great day and great weekend!
