First Tacoma and couldn’t be happier with purchase. Only a couple hundred miles but no gear hunting, seats comfortable and rides smooth. Even happy with the 22 MPG so far. Maybe it’s because I’m coming from a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 that I bought new. Love the access cab and storage/some seating in emergencies/6ft bed.Plan on keeping it stock except for AT tires after a few thousand miles. Got lots of good advice from here on my 1+ year search. Thanks

At 75yo, I just put a deposit on a 22 SR5 in MGM, should be here in a few weeks

My 4th in my life time! Only problem I’ve ever had, is that you have to change the oil once in a while:rofl::D:thumbsup:

Always support more access cab family. If enough of us kid-free folks keep buying them they might keep making them in the next-gen. I started at 21-22mpg new and average at 18-19 now. I've had none of the common complaints you read about here in earlier years. Knocking on wood. Enjoy it!

Congrats on the truck ! Don't let anybody convince you don't like something, as long as you're happy that's all that matters.

I have an 18 offroad that has been a good rig. No problems with tranny, has never needed repairing, seats and suspension are comfortable on/off road (i live in Idaho and use it for long trips back to North Dakota and my mileage has gone from 18.5 - 23+ in regular daily driving. My big complaint with Toyota is that they have really cheapend the interior with subpar plastics that stain/discolor, carpet that is thin and fuzzes out the first time u vacuum, cheap fabrics/ trim paint, etc. They used to come with much better, more durable and longer lasting materials which provided for an easy to keep clean and good looking interior even as the truck aged. Now? - Not so much..

I have a deposit on the same 23 OffRoad so i will be set for another 5-6 years with a sorted out rig that meets my needs & it wont have whatever awful Tundra like face they put on the next version & it will still have the V6 which is a solid motor instead of the upcoming wheezy 4 banger.

Congrats on your purchase and good for you feeling happy about it - Use it like you want, perform regular mechanical maintenance, keep the interior/exterior spiffed up and you wont have to go thru that awful car buying process again for a long time..

Stick with the bed mat, and spend the rest on some seat cover, and maybe rust proofing if in the salt belt.

Congratulations! First time owner here as well. Ive had the truck for just about 6 months and loving it. MPG have got better since day one but cant complain, its a truck. I also drive a decent amount and above highway speeds.
If I had to put a con it would be the paint (maybe specific to the color). Seem to be getting more nicks through the paint than compared to what Ive seen with any other previous vehicles.
Good luck on not wanting to mod much! Theres so many options its hard not to want and make it your own.
