I know there are a few threads about the ARB out there but I have a couple questions im lost on. I purchased the ARB and plan to install it after I install my Switch-Pro over the next few weeks. But I am in need of some guidance.

    1. Can you hook up the ARB Twin air compressor through the Switch-Pro or does it need to be independant?

    2. Has anyone installed the ARB behind the grill with the R4T mount? I know there is a couple places under the hood but I unfortunately cannot install there.

    Thanks.

    Regarding question 1:
I wired it up to my SP, but only the signal wire that tells it to turn on. The larger power wires are connected straight to my battery.

I cannot help with your 2nd question. But what info are you trying to get about that specific mount?

I bought the extra wiring "ARB Compressor Harness for Switch Pros" but was kind of lost. So The switch pro can turn the ARB on but the positive goes to the battery and not the SP terminal?

The other couple mounts I have seen under the hood (on fuse box/by air intake on passenger side) arent available on mind. R4T has a cool mount that goes behind the grill, I just did not know if anyone had any experience with it.

For using a switchpro, it needs to just replace the manual switch in the ARB diagrams because it cannot handle the peak current needed to run the compressor. The power running the compressor/s will still run straight from the battery (or auxiliary fuse box) through a relay (that relay is built in with the ARB twin) and your switch pro will just be controlling that relay.

From that harness you bought, it has 1 wire for the compressor and 2 wires for lockers. If you don't plan on installing lockers, you won't need all of the wires. On the ARB wiring, it's the purple wire you need for the compressor. That will connect to your SP.

So purple to switch pro, then power to battery. I think I can handle that lol. Thanks

And obviously don't forget the ground, but I think you can handle that without issue. :hattip:

Good morning a very simple question but need to double check just for safety. upgrading to the ARB twin and have located it behind the rear seat of my double cab. routing the wires. pretty simple stuff. why do i need to run the thick black ground cable all the way to the battery? why cant i simply ground it to the frame?

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Direct ground to battery helps when running high amperage, less resistance than through the frame. Same reason why the winch gets hooked up directly too.

Best answer I have heard. I grounded and powered straight to battery, but wired to switch-pro to turn on.

Was fairly simple to be honest. Hardest portion was the mounting for me.
