Very similar experience (quite a few of us out there I think, @Turkino and I pretty much had the same truck both in limbo, I was just lurking the whole time, lol)

Deposit on an allocated Limited: 5/12/22
Estimated Build Date: 5/28/22
Estimated Delivery: 6/27/22

Actual Build Date: 6/13/22
New ETA: 9/14/22, but hasnt really been inside 30 days

Have spoken to the dealer and been lurking on the forum, but from what I gather (more from the forum than my dealer) is that some number of trucks are being held up in Baja. Dealer says logistics, forum gives QC/manufacturer holds on a varying number of builds/tranches of trucks in and around the May/June/July builds. As far as the logistics problem, a bit of a hard sell for me. It appears I am seeing movement of build dates after mine that have come out of Baja, but I'm not a doctor. As far as packages and such, it is a limited nightshade, and I had the hard tonneau put on. Not sure if that plays any factor, just fyi.

Good luck to everybody trying to get a unicorn right now, it is so frustrating trying to make decisions without any quality information. I've owned a 2nd gen, and am super stoked about the new one. They are worth the wait, as trying as it is.

What was the specs on your truck? Trim, etc.?

I’m waiting on a 7/11 build and dealer doesn’t show anything other than build date. After that there is no movement at all. Hopefully I’m not in the same boat.
I’ve already had the rug jerked from under me once with a March allocation that was taken back because of parts issues. I chose to wait on a later allocation which they received. Now I’m still waiting and hoping it doesn’t happen again.

Either the app sucks or mine isn't working properly... I see no door unlocks or tire pressure, the only thing I see is 1 mile on the odometer. Do manual transmission trucks display differently than autos?

Hah! Yep pretty much this. My dealer claimed it was logistics problems too.

Back in January - Put down a deposit for a TRD Sport 4x4 in Blue Crush
March - With no allocations for the above, did my own research on the Toyota build system and went to my dealer and said "Just give me anything that has the advanced tech package"
April - Got an allocation on an upcoming Limited in MGM w Nightshade Edition
June 4th - Limited was built then.... nothing
Spent the rest of June and into July seeing OTHER trucks move out of the Baja plant, but mine and others were sitting around with no update as to the reasoning.

2 weeks ago: After a month and a half of this I started reaching out to other dealerships to see how their stock was and I found one 2 hours away that has a Limited in MGM w. Blackout Package (no Nightshade edition unfortunately) that was already sitting at Long Beach. Well hell, that's already a step up from where mine was. I decided to pull the trigger on making the switch.

Last Saturday: My original sales guy emails me saying that the truck I had been waiting on all of June for had FINALLY moved into "Processing" status to leave Baja. I replied back with "That's nice, I had lost hope in it ever moving." Still not wanting to switch back when the new one is already further along in the system and is nearly identical in port installed options. Gonna miss not having the Nightshade edition but... I can live without some darkened chrome.

08/02/22 - Got notifications in the Toyota app of doors unlocking, tire pressure, and the Odo shows as 2 miles on it. @Rod03 confirmed that the truck was now showing as on the train the following day.

Hoping that it arrives soon as at this point I've had a lot of life issues happen over the past 6 months (surgery, etc) and that ate into the funds a bit, forcing me to need to finance the truck in part and I'd like to get a pretty good deal if possible. Sucks that I've missed out on all of those sweet sub 2% Toyota offers they had all summer long.

EDIT: Oh, looks like they extended the sale special to Sept.

Congrats! Gray bed stickers....huh...thought they all switched to the red accented ones or is that by color?

 

I’m not really found of the bedside sticker color either, they are coming off this weekend.
I took them off the other Tacomas I had also.

 

Beautiful truck congrats! Change the color to Army Green and that's my truck ETA 8/25.

 

My 6MT shows 1 mile, empty gas tank (just one red sliver and an empty grey bar) and tire pressures. They were 35/35/35/36, but now they are 38/38/38/38. So I'm assuming mine is outside in the logistics lot and the sun is beating down on it (hence the pressures went up). I've never seen a door unlock notification yet.
