    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Finally got to drive the truck today. Got everything put back together. All the lights come on like they should, it dings the way it's supposed to ding, and it turned on...

Which means I fixed the 3 wires I nicked when cutting the firewall, those were the only one I nicked, and I didn't melt any wires with any of the small fires we started in the cab when we were welding it back together...

    We're winnin!

Too dark to take any pics. And the fender/flare cuts are so subtle it's hard to notice unless you stick your head in the wheel well lol

You’re not going to do the actual wheeling trail? Snake lake trail loop? I’d suggest it! It’s a great little trail.

Not quite ready for snake Lake in the DCLB. Still waiting on my BAMF front bumper I ordered in April. This fall I will order the WARFab Phantom rear bumper, and before next summer I will regear to 5.29s and go to 35s.

I was gonna say, Snake Lake isn't friendly for stockish vehicles. I did it in my DCLB with 35s, gears, full armor and was fine but much less than that and you are going to take some damage.

Snake Lake peaks my interest! I don't know much about it, but looking at what I'm finding, I'm gunna want to hit that one. Along with Stag Point. They both rate 7/10 on OnX Offroad.

Snake lake is cool since it’s a loop, you can run it both ways and each way presents its own challenges.

It's a good one to do with a few buddies that are modified to your trucks level. I also like to hit a couple swimming holes off the North Yuba any time I'm in the area.

How late in the season would you say a trip would be recommended on this trail. I'm not really familiar with the area.

I've been up there mountain biking as late as November.
You can check local trail conditions at Yuba Expeditions https://yubaexpeditions.com/yuba/downieville_trails.php

Those trail conditions should apply roughly to the 4x4 trail conditions as long as they are close in proximity/elevation. I think.

Hell ya! Maybe I can squeeze these in this year.

I've got Swamp Lake next weekend, then Dusy Ershim in September. October looks like a trip back down to Shaver Lake area. Talk is doing Coyote Lake, Mirror Lake, Strawberry Lake... something like those, in October. We haven't finalized those plans yet.
