Back from dental and getting the flaking paint on the taco looked at, by the dealer. I was easy going and Was not feeling the love from them at all. They said there is no known issue. Will be waiting for a response from them.

 

I can provide pictures of 3 white Tacomas, all with less than 10k miles, that have grey primer showing through the base coat on serval areas on the doors.

 

I can provide 1543234 pics of Jeep Wranglers where FCA was too cheap to paint under hinges and other areas.

I've read that for whatever reason the white paint on Tacomas doesn't hold up well. I have no solid data to back that up.

 

Anecdotal internet postings are more than enough.

Wow, that's an awesome rig, and the $110k price tag is also awesome. The dual spare tire swingouts in the back are pretty wild, wonder if they act like a wheelie bar?
