I think it's adorably stupid

 

I wish I could’ve kept both. I’m really missing the solid feel of the Land Cruiser, as well as the commanding driving position and excellent visibility. Some day I’m determined to have another one, as long as they don’t skyrocket more in price.

 

Posted this in the welding section, but I'm here at my barber and thought it was cool AF to see the light poles we made up already.



He made more of the slightly shorter sign holders, cause they needed a shit ton of aluminum brackets made. I made more of the light poles shown.

 

I think it is cool that they contract locally for that stuff

 

I'm just happy to already have a hand in that stuff.

I've only been welding for a few months.

Being as industrial as it is out here, a ton of stuff is sourced locally fortunately.

There are some good dudes from NWA on TTArk that go wheeling often in their Tacomas and 4Runners. They are on there often. I'm in about 2 or 3 hours away from where they go. Been so hot and dry that it takes the fun out of going.

I'm not an average 100 series owner/driver in any sense. I get ruff and make a lot of water crossings. I've had some Jeep people tell me that I drive too fast through water crossings. They don't like to see my water crossings. Sorry that I'm not driving a vehicle with the aerodynamics of something from 1948. The front of the 100 is pointed and pushes the water up and away. Buffalo River and Illinois Bayou crossings were a lot of fun last fall.

 

Couldn't find the rental keys to the Armada, figured my daughter took them and hid them like she likes to do with my phone. Asked her where she put them and she walks into the bathroom, points at the toilet and goes "in here dada"

Fuck me I almost lost it lol

Luckily it turned out she put them under the bed

Yep.. I like to run it from south to north -- save the best scenery for last.

I heard the road is closed now from the south at Woolum. I’ve been to the Dixon Ford crossing a few times. That’s a really fun little trail.

Even though I got 2 more clamps yesterday, bought another 2 today -



Needed it to clamp about 8" so I got the next size up.

They'll be used for sizing stuff as well as woodwork. Not what I would use for welding just tacking.
