I have a few Muscle Machines and Zingers. I can find them, people want too much for them.

I have to post this one today as well. I bought this 41 Willy's a couple weeks ago at the Hartville Flea Market. It is a 1/18 scale die-cast. The paint was worn but I got it cheap. I couldn't wait to see what I could do with it. This thing was a bear to dismantle and had at least 15 screws holding it together which were often hidden. All of the chrome also had to be removed and the body sanded. While dismantled I chromed the blower and injectors. They were an ugly orange color. I also tinted the back window. The color I chose was a deep green pearl which glows in the sunlight. Reassembly took me 2 days.hartville 003.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 015.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 016.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 018.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 019.jpg

Quick status update with new photos, few new items to enjoy.

[IMG]IMG_9668 by Mike M, on Flickr

    This case is unchanged.

[IMG]IMG_1342 by Mike M, on Flickr

Completed the 2F2F cars. I bought a better condition Suki S2000, snagged the Johnny Tran S2000 and got the elusive Roman Eclipse Spyder for $200 under market value.

[IMG]IMG_1771 by Mike M, on Flickr

The Ferrari 308 is new, it's my favorite Ferrari of all time, so score. Moved some cars in and out of this case, put a few in storage.

[IMG]IMG_1773 by Mike M, on Flickr

The Vipers came back out. The GTS is kinda rough, the RT/10 is REALLY rough, but they display well-ish, so it's a win.

[IMG]IMG_1885 by Mike M, on Flickr

Finished the Subarus (don't get me started on the Bugeye wagon...a rare car that came missing a headlight!). I also got the elusive Kyosho RX-7 in one of the rarer colors. I snagged an OTTOmobile EK9 CTR which is way too cool.

Anything else I want either doesn't exist yet (USDM front ITR, 90-93 Honda Accord, 2012-2023 Tacoma or 84-95 Toyota Pickup) or is stupid expensive (AUTOart C5, OTTOmobile Mitsubishi GTO (3000GT)).

I recently found the maroon Hot Wheels Tacoma which was pretty neat. The blue is proving elusive, I may just grab a pair from eBay simply to have.

Yes. It’s the Ertl / Joyride one that’s less desired than the more accurate Hot Wheels one but when I got it it was a $20 model versus the $100+ for the Hot Wheels version. The tires on the Hot Wheels ones were super wrong for the price point, but I don’t know if they’ve since fixed them.

Thank you. There are a few others running around that I’d love to get my hands on, but not at the price asked. AUTOart made a Road Warrior / Mad Max 2 version of the Pursuit Special with the fuel tanks that trades in the hundreds of dollars. They also made a better version of the Mad Max 1 car like I have but it’s nearly 3x the cost of mine.

A person in Australia customizes the yellow Interceptor into Big Bopper and Sarse/Scuttle but charges $400-500 to do so. Biante makes the HJ Sandman with the correct nose and mural for the movie but with a 300 piece run they are trading in the $300-400 range which is too much for my love of it. Lastly you can get the Night Rider Monaro but the wheels and tires are all wrong. Greenlight used to sell the yellow Interceptor wheels separate which probably would work for it but it’s too much work for a car I also don’t like that much.
