Those are the Mighty Magnet mounts from TacoGarage, and they come with adhesive backed thin circle and rectangular plates you put on your phone/case. The magnets are just sandwiched between the phone and case on mine and my gfs phones and they have no problem holding up over rough roads (i have a iphone 13 mini using just circle plate, gf has samsung s20 using both circle and rectangle plate)

I have the Spigen MagSafe Tough Armor case and have the Taco Garage MagSafe mount on my DMM. Holds it nicely and charges! You could run the cable inside the dash if you want a cleaner look. Personally it doesn't bug me so I've just got mine out.

Edit to add my post about the MagSafe mount for the DMM:

So how do I attach a 25m ball (the dmm ball”) to a 20mm ball which is what the 67 designs holder has? I bought this but I don’t think it will work now.

The open end on the adapter would connect to the ball on the back of the 67-designs phone mount, then the ball end of the adapter would go to the TacoGarage machined arm, with the other side of the machined armed connected to the DMM ball.

So like this: DMM ball mount >> machined arm >>ball side of adapter >> open side of adapter >> 67 designs phone holder (or any other device with a 20mm ball mount)

Expertly drawn diagram (black = DMM mount/1'' ball; red = machined arm; green = adapter with 1" ball connected to machined arm, open end connected to > orange = phone holder)

I think his question is how well the arm will simultaneously grip two balls that are different sizes, 25mm to 20mm. Unfortunately I have no idea

The adapter solves all these issues, it provides a 25mm ball that the machined armed would connect to with the open end connecting to the 20mm ball on the phone holder.....

Ok I get it now! Thank you so much for taking the time to do it. So I just need that extra piece and I’m solid. Hate they all use different ball sizes but what can you do lol

Hi! I have a DMM installed and was wondering if/when the new usb charger that you can get in a new DMM order will be available for a standalone purchase. @FreshMexicanTaco

It is, however we made a design change that makes it much easier to install although it takes a little bit away from the aesthetics. The two screws that attach the plates to the dash are now tightened from the outside making the process easier but to do that the screws are no longer flush on top, we are using button head screws which don't look bad but they are not as flush as the ones you have.

A bit late, but I run that Midland radio on the TG mic holder, no issues. I am coming here to see if anybody has 'modded' the mic holder at all. When driving down bumpy dirt roads, the mic kinda bounces and is super annoying, I have to take the mic off the mount. I'm thinking maybe I can shove some like felt or rubbery type material either on the mount or the mic itself.

    Has anybody done anything similar?

We haven't seen anyone address that yet but I see how that can happen, I'll pass it up the chain and maybe we can get a solution going.
