Ooh yeah they are cool. If you want longer travel and can weld they aren't a bad idea. Personally I'd only go with the 2.5 kit but that's me. I'm sure I don't have to tell you - the bigger you go with everything, the more it will cost and the more work it takes. Can't say if it's worth it, depends on the goals you have for the truck and what your plans are for shocks and upcoming leaf pack upgrade.

Biggest things to keep in mind: You need to cut off the OEM upper & lower shock mounts so it isn't easily reversible. You need to be able to weld - keep in mind your safety depends on the quality of your welds while you are driving. If you are Larry Dangerfield and plan to trade/sell your truck in 6 months probably not worth the effort. If you plan to keep your truck longterm then it's something to think about.

Upside: Possibly A LOT more rear shock travel. My Fox 2.5 PES shocks have like 9.5" travel, I think with the Archive 2.5 mounts you can do 14" shocks. 4.5" more travel? Yeah, big dawg. Big huge shocks look super cool in the wheel well, at least +100 Bro Points.

Thanks. I think this is outside the realm right now. If I find I need that much travel I am going to Dana's and links...

I mean if you have the funds, time, and skills then go nuts. Don't think all that is necessary though.

What shocks are you pairing with your new leaf pack? And how much lift are you shooting for with them?

Say a guy in Wisconsin wanted to drive out onto a great lake shoreline and spend a night in his rooftop tent overlooking the lake. Can you do that anywhere? I would settle for any lake if you know a spot on public land, but was kinda thinking about either Lake Michigan or Superior. If you are uncomfortable blowing up a spot send me a message--will try to make it worth your while.

It's amazing to see that and realize how much the track has changed since.

Oh OK in that case then yeah forget about the shock relocations. You'll be fine with that setup anyways.

Agree with sparky, down here in SE Wisco there aren't any places to do that. Heck I can't think of any places even going up to Door County. Maybe somewhere on the inland Green Bay side but again difficult to think of spots like that. You can definitely camp within sight line of the lake at places like Kohler-Andrae and Harrington Beach State Parks and some county parks. If you absolutely have to do Lake Michigan would suggest pulling up Google Maps and toggling between street map and satellite layers - it will be a giant scavenger hunt but maybe you can find something. Michigan lower mitten side also seems to have more options but I don't know them personally.

Lake Superior probably has options. Maybe our guys that live far up north might know and chime in.

The only place down here that I can think of is whats its name state park at the east end of wadsworth rd in Wuakegan that has camping, but I don't know how close to the lake you can get.

Illinois Beach State Park. It's pretty close but not right on the water. I drive by there every day. One of my high school teachers got married there and invited me & a couple classmates who were underage. Open bar, my Spanish teacher bummed all my smokes, almost fought the principal. Good times.

Okay-go north young man! Lake Superior has LOTS of places to camp right on the lake-some are actual campground sites and other are dispersed sites. Send a PM and I will give you details.

    Some teasers...

There is a 1/2 mile of uninhabited sandy beach right there...

Power's been out all morning. So doing some needed slider, skid plate, and frame maintenance. I fluid filmed the frame before mounting the sliders 2 years ago and surprisingly no rust between them. Just a lot of dirt.
