    Depends on what you mean by dating. If dating means a few . . . encounters . . . that's a totally different thing than a committed relationship. Depending on his age, I'd say, for a committed relationship to work, your buddy needs to be emotionally mature. People 15-20 years apart can be in different places in a lot of ways. My husband's 15 yrs older than I am, and it works great. But there are certain issues in life (aging parents, for example) that he faces now that I won't face for a while.

    Not to serious up your thread. If dating means option #1 above, then the rest won't matter so much, I guess. :D
