How hard is it to remove the stripped screws on the side of the back window frame? I got the whole replacement and they want $70 bucks to install it. And is there a specific screw I should use.
Do I run silicon around the frame to seal it up in any way?
I just not sure if it would be a pain in the ass the remove the stripped screws and replace.

I don't think these are screws, they look like rivets maybe?

Edit: Hmm maybe not. Looks like the best way might be to drill into them and pull them out that way.

Those are some form of rivet. They can't be that hard to remove as mine are falling out on their own. :D

I’m able to get the other side out. I just don’t want to jack up the hole.

    They are not rivets.

Those are Robertson Square Drive screws. Bits are available for them. Commonly used, or at least used to be, in RV construction.

If you do end up messing up the holes in the cap removing the screws, you can always drill them out and use bolts. I'd use fender washers and double nuts on the inside.

Those are probably #8 or #10 screws. If you have to drill them out, I'd use regular machine screws with Phillips heads, regular washers, and Nylock nuts instead of lock washers.

I recommend you use stainless fasteners when reassembling.

You can try grinding off the heads since you are throwing away the old frame. Then it may be easier to remove the studs without buggering up the hole as you will have better visibility once frame is removed.
