Today is their last day of operation. The restaurant is for sale now. I’ve met a ton of good people at the bar from all over NE and beyond.

So now there's like... 3 places to eat in Gorham... sad to hear about that, was a fun place to go after a day on the trails.

 

Damn, I loved that place when we were done ATV riding in Jericho! That is really sad to hear .

I don't suppose it's possible there are adaptors to turn this 240v into a regular 120v? My understanding is that it's basically a negative terminal with two 120v terminals, no ground.

 

Must be...I have a homemade one. Splits into 2 15 amp.
Mine doesn't have any inline breakers so might not be the safest. Also have one to go the other way... 2 separate breaker plugs to make a 240v.

Not quite that simple, that second lead is still live regardless of whether it's being used or not. What application are you looking for? I'd just pop in a 30a 120v outlet and swap out the 2 pull for a single in the panel, but that's me being cautious

 

Was going to use it for an air conditioner for a finished basement room. The previous people who built the room added only a light switch and 2 overhead lights, but no outlets.

Could I possibly get this, and chop off a blade? Or disconnect and cap one of the wires inside the receptacle?

Most of the adapters I'm seeing are 240 in and still 240 out, or they don't specify. Many seem to be 10-30P instead of 10-30R.

 

Look at sites like etrailer.com I have one for home in the opposite direction. I'm sure an adapter is out there

It does appear to be a little, uh, sketchy. But, I've seen worse.

 

That won't work because the negative is round instead of L shaped.
